Hey, you folks that were on the '07 Casini Rally remember the mini Cornish Pasties we (Lynn) prepared for the pot luck? Did you like them? We know doorgunner sure liked the aroma it left in his trailer. We used his oven to heat them up. Anyway they were a LOT of work for Lynn and she will need LOTS of encouragement to prep some for this year.....if enough of you want them. AAAAH, she doesn't know yet that I posted this. I may be in some deep do do.
Neil.

poached salmon???
openly admitting that you acquired the fish illegally!!
Pretty BRAZEN of you!!
Does this make the fish less oily?? slipperyerr.
How's it cook up knowing that it should not be in the pan?
I mean think of the fish-- does anyone ever think of the fish?? huh?
And what about the precious circle of life thing that you are conspiring to interrupt? There are those that would like to have your hide for that act.
I understand these are tough economic times= but illegal acquisition??
All that does is hasten the trip to the padded cell.
and all this time -- well I'm deeply disillusioned.
deeply
you splashing a few capers on this fish?

Alright, alright all ready.
Grilled farm raised salmon then. PC enough? Or is this your way of hinting that you'd prefer tofu? And yes, we can throw on some capers!
We'll just poach eggs for Sunday's brunch.
And to think we were worried that we might be the only Prius driving, Birkenstock wearing, granola eating tree huggers in attendance!
We're looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Poached/Grilled/Steamed/Baked/Cured Salmon

Dear friends,
In an effort to allay any additional concerns we will not be bringing grilled salmon to Saturday night's potluck as we do not wish to interrogate a side of salmon. Nor will we be infuriating the same said side of salmon (steamed) or providing any controlled substances for the above (baked).
Who's up for gravlax? Oh, but that would be cured salmon wouldn't it? Sushi then?
Murray's thinking about how he can carve tofu into the shape of a side of salmon.
Oh, this waay too much fun!
Your punster friends,

P-l-e-a-s-s-s-e... NO Tofu! It reminds me of a cold-wet sponge.
Grilled salmon, from ze Pacific Ocean sounds lovely. A sprig of fresh dill and a slice of lemon will suffice.
Just say "NO!"
