Question; bbq pit?

Are there BBQ pits in the tent sites, specifically 99, across the road from 121 and 133? Codybear, you're the closest one to that site it looks like.

Realistically looking at coming in later Friday night, but if we can swing it, we're grabbing our daughter out of school at noon and heading up there.

missing the fun, but enjoying the posts

Hey all you Cassini ralliers! So sorry we are not there to join in the fun. Keep posting those pics so we can enjoy from afar. Please raise a glass for me (BamCamper Laurel) and have an extra helping of whatever JanetB brings to the potluck for me (her cooking is the bomb!) Kristiana, hope your new coffee pot has power so you can wake up to a full pot. I'll be thinking about you around the 10:30 am coffee call tomorrow.

Cheers and happy travels!

Loaded and ready to go.

Hi, today on my lunch hour I pulled my trailer into the street and plugged it in to my house. [110 volt] After work, Lee and I finished loading the Navigator and Safari. We are ready. We plan to get some sleep and hit the road early in the morning. [maybe 5 AM] Should be arriving shortly after noon.

If you make it by noon, I will be impressed. It's alot farther than I thought. Anyway, we'll be here to greet you whenever you show. We had a great time tasting Doorgunner and LL's Zins. Several more arrivals since my last post. Too many to remember, after several fine Zins. Here are some pics for those of you who are rally starved.

Are you kidding me? It's been 10 minutes and no one has posted???
With all the beautiful silver pulling in and filling up Casini...it's a gorgeous sight with the sun shining on the aluminum. (Camera str8?)

Codybear x2, Kevbo, and I just returned from a Bodega Bay fish and chips feed. Do stop at the "Boat House" when you are in the neighborhood. Ran into the str8's on the way out. Secret's out.

Beautiful rocky beaches in these parts.

We're off. Ed has some geese to go talk to...

Remote Rally

Although we are not rallying with you physically, we are rallying with our hearts with all of you all at Casini. We are here at Ocean Mesa celebrating our 23rd anniversary and I'm sure it's just as beautiful there as it is here. Str8strm, thanks for the photos and keep them coming. Here are some photos so we can remotely rally together...

We're off...

We're off. Our daughter did a barfing marathon all night, so we're a bit pooped but we let her rest all day and we'll head out now to avoid traffic if that's even possible...

This packing session is serving as a reminder to all in this house how nice it's going to be when the trailer's done!

See you all soon...

I think they did the wine tasting a little too early.

Well, it is true that there's been a bit of wine tasting! And of course the margy ball made an appearance or two...But everyone has also had much fun exploring the area: turn left for spectacular drives along the coast, right for cruising the wine country. Then of course there's running in the redwood forest, cycling through the meadows. And the weather? T shirts during the day and an extra layer while sitting around the campfire at night. Huge happy group. BigDee really pulled it off!
Incredible potluck tonight.

Wink fantastic photos!

Hey Janet & Casini gang. Holy potluck! Those are such great photos.
I'm glad I have the visual. That one of Laurel's Bambi is incredible. And don't even get me started on that fire pit. Yes, I have "fire pit envy"

I had a great time with all o' yall, Thursday thru "crack o' early" this morning. I miss youz, the margarita ball, Ed, new friends, old friends, the adorable doggies, the weather, the whole silver thang. Ya'll are a good group indeed.

Sorry about waking anyone with my 5am depature. Dang '69 truck doesn't exactly turn over on the first try. It hurt me more than it hurt you, believe me. 3 hours of sleep makes for a sleepy gal!

Had a good day in SF, started heading up your way at 7pm tonight and
they realized Paula's homemade pie would be gone, and I pulled a U-ie.

In all honesty, I was afraid the bon fire, silver conversation & the margi ball would make me stay up all night again, and I'm just about runnin on empty. It was a tough decision!
Here are a few photos from Casini and my cutest customer of the day.

Have fun y'all!

Big shiny silver hug,

Kristiana

Janet, we are here in mid-MO, enjoying your rally reports and photos. In one group setting shot, I see a marvelous red or burgundy trailer, an Argosy? It's darling! Can you tell us more about it? ~G

Looks like you guys have a great rally at a very nice location. The only picture I can see the 7 foot cowboy in only has his arm and front of his hat. I do see many friends in the crowd. Everyone drive safe on they way home!

We need to do another southern version this winter. Kinda like 29 Palms, but not like 29 Palms....

Nice Pictures

Thanks for the great pictures Janet and Kristianna. Looks like a lot of fun being had.

If anyone is heading home through Oakland today or tomorrow, be aware that part of the I-80, 880, 580 interchange collapsed due to a tanker fire. You may want to choose another route. Here's the report...
Calif. Interchange Collapses After Fire

By Associated Press
7:37 AM PDT, April 29, 2007

OAKLAND, Calif. -- An interchange connecting highways to the busy Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge collapsed early Sunday after a tractor trailer hauling 8,600 gallons of gasoline caught fire, authorities said.

The truck's driver suffered second-degree burns, Officer Trent Cross of the California Highway Patrol told KGO-TV.

The tanker ignited after crashing into a pylon on an interchange connecting westbound lanes of Interstate 80, which includes the Bay Bridge, to southbound I-880 in Oakland, officials said.

The fire led to the collapse of a second interchange from eastbound I-80 to eastbound Interstate 580 located above the first interchange, Cross said.

The Bay Bridge's heavily traveled double decks run about two miles across the San Francisco Bay.

collapsed overpass

We were on our way home last night at midnight, and passed right by the now-collapsed overpass. What a mess this is going to be for commuters tomorrow. When we passed by, the overpass was still intact, they were putting out the fire.

If you need to get to 880 South from that area, you can take the "old route". Stay to the left for a short jaunt on 580, get to the far right as soon as you can, and follow the signs from there to Downtown Oakland. That will take you to 980 and then 880 South. The overpass that fell was Eastbound, but there will still be rubberneckers, so when you see traffic, get over to the left.

Good luck, fun rally, off to clean up and get that fence built.

Later...
