SSssshhhhhhhh - here comes the ranger! BTW, we met her on the way out. Apparently, she is not only the law at 2:00 in the morning but she is the garderner in the afternoon. She was pulling weeds at the entrance.

Here are more pics. I am still working on the panos. Among these is the best shirt at the rally (that I saw anyway), More singing pictures (Bin Bin, you were so cute!, Cat - what a voice and Karin - impressive fiddle and also Paul, the guitar and songs - wonderful). Thanks Ron for bringing out the portable fire pit (I still have maershmallow on my shoes from where the kids were roasting them over the flame). We are still talking about how much fun we had. Say...does anybody think that Casini will even let us come back next year?

Home safe. Didn't want to leave and still don't want to let it go. All the pix help. Good friends called as we passed thru Vacaville on our way home to order us to their house for BBQ. We plopped Bambi in their drive and they plied detail reports with wine, and we were happy to say Casini was GREAT!! We were warmly received, entertained, and very well fed. Thanks to one and all for inviting us in to the fun side of AS rallies.

Back home now, and happy to report that not a single wheel was lost during this trip. Thanks everyone, and especially Jeff for patience, advice, and letting us follow you guys.

Pictures to follow.

Great rally all! So MANY nice people here this time that I didn't even get a chance to talk to everyone. Fantastic display of silver (and some red). The after hours late night group may not be invited back (insert winky smily here) but we had a sssshhhing good time.

Beautiful area and perfect weather. So much food and *ahem* drink. Outstanding entertainment (who knew there was all that hidden talent). And the Pancake Breakfast fundraiser Sunday morning was fun too. So many things to do, not enough time!

Hope all the eastern travelers missed the traffic snarls on the way home.
As soon as we recover from all the fun we need to do it again.

Cheers,
Bamapalooza

PS...Thanks to the mystery donor for the cute Airstream letter opener.

C & K,

We were gifted a copy of your book and were blown away. Doorgunner and LL gave us one of thier copies and we sat and enjoyed it before leaving (at 4:00, yes we didn't want to leave either). We also got a peek at the illustration you "quiclky" did and had to laugh! I could tell you stories why that is so true. Thanks for all of that because it also adds to the enjoyment of the entire event.

Hi,

You can view the pdf newsletter by going to the Forums Index page, then scroll down to 'Our Community' thread, then the 'Airstreams in the News' sub thread.

Or better yet, here:

Thank you Buttercup, and everyone else that smiled on my cartoons. This A/S obsession has me in its grip.

Too short

Well, the big Casini gig is over and now most of us are back home. After a 10 hour/ 500 mile jaunt, we pulled back in at home late last night.

To all that attended...what a nice bunch of people, and to all those Airstreams that showed up with their slave drivers/pullers...you all looked marvelous. I believe we had 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's ( I don't know how to abreviate that one yet) Airstreams at the rally/convention/blowout.

And to my fellow late-nighters, sshhhuuussshh. And Buttercup, of course we can go back to Casini, after all, Nancy dug us, and we all know where she sleeps.

Big D and Kevbo deserve a big thank you.

Gosh that was fun...

We made it home yesterday afternoon, and after getting through San Francisco 19th Ave traffic and parked and unloaded, we were in no mood to upload photo's, write newsletters, or even post...

Hope all made it home safely (no excitement for us ), and glad Codybear's final bolt held up...

Thanks to Dee (for big picture concepts..) and Kev (for fronting space reservations and handling promotional posts, and for bottle openers, light stix, Peep's and general rally hosting..), and Paula (newsletter) and Doorgunner (wine and aerial photo reconaissance) and many others... Special thanks also to Paul for music and sound system, with vocals by Kat and violin backup by Karin.. Amazing...

Even though weekend was "lightly organized" it was great fun, and hard to accept that San Antonio is 6 months away.... A NorCal Summer Outing will need to get organized... Giving it much thought... Never even had time to discuss politics of virtual WBCCI Unit.. Oh well...

I didn't do so well on people photo's, but did try to capture early morning views of the Ranch and river, while some of the post-party crowd were still sleeping... BluHwy Lady's trailer looks much better under the mist than next to biker bar in Wild Hogs... Fog lifted and blue sky and warmth were great, though fires were well attended at night when it got chilly...
