Two more, please

I have been lurking. I made reservation at Blanco SP when this rally was first announced. I did not commit to the rally then as I was not confident my trailer would be ready. Well today I am committing. Everything will not be functional, but at least my trailer will act as an aluminum tent.

Itís been more than too long since I bought my trailer and I am excited to actually use it. This will be my first time using the trailer, first rally, first time (as an adult) to go camper camping and maybe several more firsts to come.

I have read the brochure on post 59.

Gene and my wife Ana.

Hi everyone, just a quick update. We have confirmed the parade has been moved from Friday to Saturday night at 6:30 pm. We will update our flyer and post next week since this will mean moving the pot luck up a little so those that want to go to the parade can and than we'll have the Dirty Santa exchange. Don't forget to wear your Tacky Christmas sweaters.

Updated Agenda

Attached is the updated Christmas Rally information.

Please note that we have rented the Pavillion at Blanco State Park on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. so you will be able to use this for your flamingo decorating and the kids stocking decorating if you need a place to prepare these items.

Menu change

I'm going to change my intended pot luck menu. I had intended to cook sauerkraut and sausage, but the "Emeril's Favorite Cabbage" that I cooked for two recent rallies was so popular that folks ask me if that is what I'm cooking. Cabbage, bacon, onions and spices, cooked in beer in my Dutch Oven.

Just got updated on all the posts we've missed. This rally sounds like so much fun! We can't wait! We are Airstream 'newbies', so this will be our first time. I am still undecided on how to decorate my flamingo~but I've got some ideas! All the food sounds terrific too! I am bringing brownies for Friday, and for Saturday broccoli/chicken/cheese/rice casserole. I don't want to assume, so I have to ask, what is a 'Dirty Santa' gift exchange? I got the exchange/trading part, but........

Hey all, We've been lurking too, and maybe drooling wanting to attend. Shelly and I made our first rally at Piney woods rally and had a great time. We finally committed to Blanco Rally. Yea!!! Or maybe we should be committed. But I digress. We're hoping to park at one of the shelters, and are planning on coming Wednesday or Thursday. Any ideas or suggestions on the pot luck dinner? Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Just realized I hadn't posted here that we have reservations for Blanco Settlement. I made them as soon as we got home from the Johnson City get together. I've been getting my decorations together, but can't figure out where to hang lights since I don't have an awning....dang! Looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting new friends. Bringing corn pudding to the pot luck and a cinnamon pound cake for Friday.
