It is actually quite simple. The next time you create a brand new thread, scroll to the bottom of the form and you will see the information about setting up a poll. Once you check the button to setup a poll (and enter a number which references how many polling items you have), submit the thread and the system will prompt you to enter in your polling items.
It should be pretty self-explanatory once you get there. Feel free to PM me if you encounter any snags in the process. Have fun!
I haven't checked into the forum in awhile and was happy to see this thread. Jamiaca S.P. is just up the road from our house in Brattleboro. I voted for the weekend of 9/17-18 because it works better for us, but we'll try to attend whatever weekend is decided on - and regardless of how far we are in getting the AS put back together (as long as it's roadworthy)!

We are also interested in going. Sept or Oct would work for us. Jamaica S.P. would take us an acceptable 3 hrs. 3 minutes to get there, per map quest.
We just have to make sure that off I-91 the hills aren't too treacherous for our tow vehicle. Went to Bar Harbor, Me this summer, and it groaned on the hills. We will be upgrading next year. We live 20 minutes south of the Mass Turnpike in R.I. Otherwise our tow vehicle is great on flat terrain.
Keep us informed, love to go.

Its not too bad most of the way. the last few miles it does start to get "hilly". I don't think its any worse than the trip to Bar Harbor, anyway.
Our tow vehicle is a Ford Clubwagon Van, and we tow a 2004 25' Safari. Our van is rated at 6200#. We are cutting it too close for comfort . I know the roads to Holyoke, because our daughter goes to Smith College off exit 18. Just wondering how hilly the roads are after that?

91 isn't bad at all...no "big" hills 'till you get to Brattleboro, but you can get off at the first exit. then you go north on 30 the rest of the way. next 15 miles is nothing too hilly, through Newfane and Townsend...but those last couple of miles have a few hills...starting to approach ski-country. I wouldn't let it keep me from going to the rally.
Looking at the Jamaica Site Map numbers 20 to 30 look good. Setting up around the water on that end would be away from the crowds and lots of water. Never been there so I'm only going by the map. http://www.vtstateparks.com/img/jamaica.pdf
They don't seem to have online reservation.

I hereby DECLARE and PROCLAIM that, in response to popular demand, there SHALL BE a Northeast Forum Rally open to ALL, to be held upon the dates of Friday, August 27 through Sunday, August 29, at the JAMAICA STATE PARK in Jamaica, Vermont.
Those planning to be in attendance should make reservations directly with the State campground reservation service TWO WEEKS PRIOR by calling 1-888-409-7579, Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30.
If reserving LESS than two weeks prior to the heretofore announced dates, you should call the park directly, at 802-874-4600.
This I DECREE, and have affixed my HAND and SEAL hereunder,
OK, if people want to park close to each other, let's use Over59's suggestion and aim for sites 20-30. I'm sure they are all nice spots. I'm making my call Monday morning! Who else is in?
BTW, I will be bringing a 4-year-old. We will be hiking all the trails and probably swimming too. Any other kids coming? How about people who act like kids?
