Donna and I had an outstanding time, as did our friends with their 17' Boler and the two couples with the GMC motorhomes who were with us. Unlike the rod and custom events we've participated in (literally hundreds in 30 plus years) this was exactly what we've been looking for, a social event where the vehicles and trailers are secondary to the people you get to meet. It was obvious my Safari57 name confused most folks who thought that meant a '57 Safari trailer = it's actually reference to my '57 Pontiac Stationwagon we've had forever. We use it to tow our '51 Airstream Flying Cloud which we acquired after looking for years for the right '57 Safari trailer without success. Next year I'll put up a sign that has both our names and our email address so people will know. And yes, we will go next year for sure and it looks like a much larger group from our club will bring their vintage trailers along now that they know it's a fun event. Some of you folks have done outstanding work on your trailers, and Charcigar, that shine on yours has me in serious doubt as to whether I will ever get mine half as pretty. Thanks again to all who came past our trailer and for allowing us to look at yours. We are looking forward to the next one. Barry and Donna
