Hi everyone
Have been crazy busy at work and now just thinking about camping next week. Bob and I are in P 6 this year arriving on Wednesday evening. Anyone else coming this early?
We have a new member of the family, Ranger, a lab puppy. First time out camping with him except for when we picked him up from the breeder in Iowa.
By the way, Mike and Dana; what’s with the roads in Iowa? Thought we were on a carnival ride. Trailer and truck were porpoising horribly even with making several adjustments to the blue ox hitch! Finally wound up taking some 2 lane country roads.
Just read about Maggie’s accident. Thank God she’s ok.
See you next week.
Will probably bring large salad for potluck dinner.

As for food, I think we are gonna drop the mac and cheese.... I mean it's been 15 years of it....this year I think we're bringing something called chicken poppers for the potluck. Sort of an appetizer sized thingamabob (not to be confused with a kabob). Anyway they are really tasty and high time for a menu change from the 'ol Twinkster.....

My bro at P19 won't arrive until Friday. Change of plans since he was originally to show with me on Thursday.

If I can get it working, I think I'll also bring a video drone that if allowed will get some great aerial shots...hopefully.

Anyone like pinball? Kind of toying with the idea of bringing a beater High Speed game if I can get a hand loading and unloading and of course if I can get that working too.

Gina, wanted to double check. P6 or do you mean F6? Only reason I asked is that there are other P sites open which are closer to all of us. I'm hoping you meant F6 since it's a site that has not been reported by any of the group so far.

Well due to a last minute change of events we are going to have to back out of the rally and spot F5 this year.

Very sorry but we will be back next year. We have the spot reserved Thursday-Sunday. If anyone is interested in it please let me know. I will be cancelling Sunday morning if I don't hear from anyone that wants to coordinate picking it up.

Sorry you are correct. We are in F6. This the first year on the inner ring. Got used to being on the “P” side but it was already taken when we made our reservation.

Congrats on the new 4-legged member of the family! We have a newbie as well, but he is a 3 year old rescue named Bear. Had him out at the rally in May and he did great! We are also arriving on Wed. I'm hoping Maggie will drive over for some TLC and dinner!

Looks like quite a few are arriving on Wednesday for pre, pre, parties. Wednesday, restaurant, Thurs Pizza; Friday "Jacks Dogs"; Saturday pot luck; Sunday "left overs" and home on Monday 10 #'s heavier.
When not eating, visiting, hydrating, biking, canoeing, bocce ball etc.

We were planning on being there Wednesday, but I need to attend a funeral service in Kansas. We'll see you all Thursday in time for pizza and plan to leave Monday after the dust settles. I'll be bringing ice cream makings for Saturday... Homemade vanilla and chocolate OK?

Anyone have any updates on sites at this point? Only revision is Norby's cancellation although Eric's brother still holds the site reservation at this late date. Looks like 17 at this point.

If anyone wants space P18, let me know via PM by tomorrow otherwise I may or may not cancel the p18 site. Jack and I are still debating if it's even something we can hold with no RV on it.

We finished our appointments a day early so we were able to sneak in here today. Park looks beautiful as always. We’re at concession right now. Nice young couple from last year are back and have added a few items to the menu.
Chris, can you remind Cottage to bring our chairs?

Joan and Fred are in E1.

Great to hear that the young couple at the concession is still there!

We plan to set up on Wednesday. Not sure if we'll stay that night.

Laird is driving up from Southern Illinois tomorrow. They've had lots more rain than we've had up here. Seems like the grass down there needs mowing every time we turn around.

We're looking forward to pizza Thursday.

We're planning to fix a fruit salad for Friday night hot dogs and grilling some veggies to share for the potluck.
