I didn't mean to jinx with the rain and all; but being an X Boy Scout, our motto was"BE PREPARED". I was thinking more of shade than rain.
So, J C, your watch the weather and the rest bring tarps and dining flys. We will scare the rain away!!!

Yep, being prepared seems to have this strange effect. Funny I told Patty over the winter that I needed to buy a new rain coat. (The last one being over 35 years old). We went out and bought one about 2 weeks ago at Cabella's. To even better keep the rain away, maybe I'll pack my rain pants that I keep in my scooter. Might as well throw all our rain deflectors at this!

We have a large tarp tucked in back, as youi never know when you might need to protect someone or something from the rain.

We are 20 minutes from Moraine View SP. It has been raining like the dickens here lately, causing us to cancel a family campout for this weekend. We are aboveground, of course, but everyone else's feet (including Lily's) and tents would be in the certain mud. Yuk!

Kiddies are disappointed but will be camping out at Grandma and Grandpa's house, instead. Love those grandbabies.

I like the soiund of that app, JC. Will have to check it out.

Let's all do a little no rain dance.

It'll work. I know it will.

Potluck time! Since our white sauce and pasta dishes are always popular, we are inventing a new version for this year.

Latest long range forecast has taken the rain out of the picture for Saturday night. Saturday day has a 40% chance of scattered thundershowers with night being 0%. High about 87, so Saturday will be our warmest day. Friday looks to be the better chance of scattered storms. We usually lay the hot dogs out under my awning at my trailer so if a stray shower comes up, it really won't be a big issue. All in all, it looks like we will pull this off. By Monday we should be pretty much locked in on the final forecasts.

We just have to get through some rough weather in St. Louis today and things will calm down weather wise. I'm pulling the trailer out its inside storage Sunday and bring it home to dewinterize and sanitize the fresh water tank. Rather not risk the potential for nasty hail. I've already checked out all the appliances in April, other than water heater and water pump so we should be ready.

Jack

I know one person who will (he has every year he has come) but he's not confirmed that with me. So consider that there will be at least 2 mac and cheese sides coming.

Locked in on Monday? If you believe that I've got some fantastic Tropical Ocean Front Property in Northern Saskatchewan you'll surely be interested in! I'm currently NE of Lafayette, IN at Prophetstown State Park and like St Louis we've got a chance of severe WX tonite and tomorrow. Suspect that extends over to Le Roy, IL and Moraine View also so lets hope none of it materializes! Unfortunately unlike Jack I haven't got a nice covered place to keep my trailer in case it does.
