Hey there gang, silly question. Second weekend of June being the 7th, 8th, & 9th or the weekend following (it always throws me off when festivities start on a Thursday or Friday which fall before the month starts)? Never could find it specifically mentioned in the thread. We sure had a great time last year with you all but have plans already in place for the 8th. We'll be waiting on pins & needles...

You are right! While in the Forums Rally calendar I have the dates, I really didn't put them in the first post of the thread. I made a small change so it shows that the rally starts on June 7th.

Technically I don't consider Friday as a weekend day so we really will be having the rally on its traditional 2nd weekend of the month date.

Sorry you can't make it....

Whoever it is, F4 and F5 have the best breeze/air circulation of any of the campsites.

Going to our first rally of the year at Alumalina in a few weeks.

Ok as of 3/8 here is the updated list.

F1 tiger
F2 Tikihut
F3 P&J ( Paul, Judy and Ed)
F5 doug & maggie
F6 let's play
F7 Airtandem
F8 knunut
F9 Cottage
P13 Charlie & Carol
P14 Jim & Kaye
P15 Diego
P16 Al - K4GLU
P17 maccamper
P18 TinLoaf
P19 mcair
P20 Silvertwinkie
P21 jcanavera
P22 Norby
P23 robert claus

P13 just got reserved by my sister and her husband. They are A-Liner folks and do a lot of camping with fellow A-Liner owners. They just bought a brand new unit so it will be an interesting trailer to see.

Still trying to find who has F4 at this point. Anyone know who has this site?

Still room in the P loop starting at P12 and lower. E loop also has lots of space available.

Jack; thanks for the update. Any word on Silverflash, (the Bakers)? Just trying to think who was there last year, but haven't signed up yet. You know; "the more the merrier".
Just trying to keep this post going and expand the attendance.

Pam has a leadership and planning role in their area Garden Club. The timing of their big annual dinner coincides with our rally. Last year she - ever so nobly - gave up the garden affair to join us at Moraine View -- after doing much of the planning and arrangements for the event. I haven't heard from them but this could be the year that the Garden Club understandably takes precedence over the rally.

So, without Jerry there, perhaps Ken will be that quieter more subdued person that he tells us he is -- but oh wait, I forgot that Mike (Airtandem) will be there to egg us all on (in a good way ) with Dana's assistance!

Anxious to hear about retirement travels and catch up with everyone.

Hey Jerry, we'll drunk to that. NO onion wine though. This is becoming a fine wine group. Maybe a wine and cheese party on banquet (potluck) nite. everyone contributes

Ooooo, that would be fun!

We discovered a great cheese spread recipe that I am dying to take to a potluck.

Starting to get close.

Looking forward to hearing of everyone's adventures this past year.

See y'all soon.

Perhaps a cheese and "fermented fruit and vegetable juice" party since we have to be discreet with wine. Alcohol isn't permitted in Illinois State Parks. We have been discreet in the past and haven't had a problem.

Figured I'd say it before Jack had to give us that reminder.

Ummmm, of course. Discreet.

My belief is the rangers don't really care what is in your cup, they just don't want you to give them a reason to ask.

A few years ago when we were organized closer to the campground host sites, I received a warning from a campground host about one of our sites where some wine consumption was going on. Why they came to me rather than the offending site is questionable but I became the message carrier to that site's occupants to stow the bottles.

So for those of you new to the event be aware.

Jack

Maybe we should invite the host ('s) for the pot luck.
Don't/ didn't mean to cause trouble.
sorry Nancy
