That would be perfect.

Thanks,

Folks, I checked in the last few days and there were still reservable sites available at Moraine View. If you were undecided but want to come, please check the Reserve America web site and look at Moraine View. You will find some sites directly adjacent to where most of us are at.

Also be aware that there are a large number of open sites that are not reservable and are first come first served. I know over the years that if you get there Thursday, you can easily get a good site.

Great!

We will do something salad-ish for Friday and something for the potluck on Saturday night, won't decide just what until we get a bit closer and know what the temps are going to be.

We'll be in on Thursday as well.

Hoping some of those Forums personalities who are trekking to Alumapalooza might grace us with their presence the following weekend at Moraine View.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

I'm probably going to get the trailer home possibly on Sunday or Monday just to make sure every thing is still working. Getting hot this weekend in STL. Hopefully temps will be moderate for Moraine. I know we used to publish what we are bringing on Saturday for the pot luck. If you'd like to do that I'll try to keep that list updated.

I think it's nice to have a list for the Saturday potluck, so we don't do duplicates, too many desserts (is that possible?), etc.

Hi folks! We're O2bcarefree's friends from the Avion Forums, Brian and Jo Ann ('63 T-20 Avion). We're in site P21 for the Moraine View get together. This is our first official rally and I'm somewhat new to the Airforums as well (at least insofar as figuring out this site with a "smart" phone) so please bear with me with regards to protocol, posting, etc.. Really looking forward to the long weekend and of course meeting you all.

So, it looks like potlucks for Friday evening, as well as Saturday morning and evening? How does a cheese plate sound for Friday, a fruit salad for Saturday breakfast, and slaw for Saturday dinner? Don't want to duplicate anyone's efforts so let us know if there are other suggestions.

As per Jack's comments about the water situation at the campground, we've resurrected our water filter if anyone needs a top-off during the weekend. Also, are there electrical hookups at the sites? We have 12v but would be a lot more comfortable with 110. It'll be a learning curve (and a bit of an adventure) for sure, but that's what it's all about, right? See you all soon,

Brian

Brian, all of the sites have electric. Friday night is optional so feel free if you want to bring something. It's pretty informal and in some cases not everyone has arrived when we eat.

Look forward to seeing you!

Jack

Really, for those of you coming to this rally for the first time, bring enough fresh water with you for the weekend as, even filtered, you don't want to make coffee or tea from this water. It is safe, just icky tasting.

Yep, we'll be there in P12. Our first Airforums rally and we're really looking forward to it.

Is there anything special we need to bring.....grill, dutch oven, etc.???

Friday Evening - Cranberry Broccoli Slaw
Saturday AM - coffee cake
Saturday PM - Corn Casserole

Yum!

I'm going to bring Frog-Eye Salad for Friday night, thinking of an enchilada bake with pork or chicken, black beans, queso, etc, in the Dutch Oven for Saturday potluck. Looks like temps are going to be moderate.

I think I'll update the listings.
