No Show....Oh No!

I must set down the disappointment both Carol and I feel over missing out on the rally. The TV was we thought ready to make the trip even though the "Landshark" was to stay behind. We Gassed it up on Friday evening to make the trip to Normal the next morning. Everything seemed primed and ready to go..........then the other shoe dropped! We awoke Saturday to heavy rain but felt it could be better at Morraine View so we prepared to depart the Quad Cities at 8:00 A.M. to give ourselves time for a nice drive and early lunch with a planned arrival at the park about noon. Wishing to be there by the time the rigs were ready for the open house tours so we could get some ideas for our interior projects. However, when we were loaded in the truck and ready to roll the windshield wipers refused to work. We tried evrything to no avail and they are still not working. I am back at work since then on 10 hour days so no time to take it anywhere to have it checked out. Hopefully when things calm down I can get it to the shop and have them fixed. You would know it wouldn't be something simple like a blown fuse or loose wire connection. Anyway I just wanted to let you all know we missed not being there and maybe by next year the coach can make the trip with us. Thank you for listening.........Ed

Tracy -- I said I'd forward links on sink refinishing. Kevin Allen's professionally done job on his '64 International stands out. And here. And here. balrgn has done the same -- here and here. I'm not readily finding a different thread where they redid the sink in deep red -- that caught Susie's eye when we were still working on the Argosy.

And silverflash -- You will usually have to re-size digital pics. I've often suggested 800 x 600 pixels since that is the same ratio as you digital pics and it displays fairly nicely. Be very sure you do a 'Save As' and not a 'Save' on the modified photo or else you could wipe out the full size photo file. 'Save As' to the desktop so you can easily follow step 2 below. I usually discard the shrunken picture file afterward to avoid confusion.

So here goes (modified from Janet):
Click on reply and scroll down to bottom of text box.
Click "Attach Files" at the bottom of the reply window and click "Manage attachments" A separate window will pop up.
Click "browse" Then select the file to be uploaded. Be sure that the photo is appropriately sized. 1024 x 1024 pixels (or smaller) and no more than 300 K. You may select several photos to upload at the same time by repeating the last step.
Click "Upload" After pics have loaded close the pop-up window
Click "submit reply" to mount the text of your message - photos will automatically appear in post.

We'll see results if that is helpful. Please ask more questions if it isnt ...

Okay Roger -- you were most inviting 2 years ago when our Argosy was not quite getting onto the launch pad.

I'm sure we can count on that. There are a bunch of great folks here in the Midwest.

Again ... Jack Canavera certainly is the glue that holds this event together. But actually it was the combined presence of so many individuals that make this a success. Thank you to all!
