Mini-Rally on the Oregon Coast - Nov 19-20

Ok, I'm finally free of other commitments, how about we try to squeeze in one more get together? November 19-20, at Beverly Beach SP in Oregon on the coast between Depot Bay and Newport.

I contacted the park, and they said it looks good for G-Loop, which is water and electric only. The park has a dump station to use on the way out, so I figure we can all rough it without sewer hookup since it's only a weekend. Spots are $17 a night. The spots with full hookups get taken faster, so that's why he thought it would be easier to get a group together in the water/elect sites.

I'm just not sure how to go about making reservations and making sure we all get put together. If we can get at least five of us, they waive the reservations fees. So pipe up if you really can come, and we'll figure out how to get this organized. Maybe when I have a number of people who can definitly come, I'll just call and make the reservation.

This will be a simple rally, just a get together. Plan to cook for yourself, and maybe we can organize a dinner out at a restaurant. There's lots of beach walking, hiking , lighthouse visiting to do in the area. Bring kids, dogs, and kites if you like!

So, who's in?

Beverly Beach is BEAUTIFUL! I'm also envious and wish we were closer. I'd be there in a heartbeat. Enjoy it and share some pictures.

The "G loop" is great we stayed there in May on our trip up the coast.
Nice and quiet with your back to the stream.
Might be interesting to try a "Single Pot Seafood Feed" one night. It is easy, One very big pot and everyone brings crabs, clams, mussels, shrimp and veggies.
All of the seafood is available fresh in Newport. Just need the pot the campfire and the will to make it happen. Of course there needs to be the Vegitarian Pot for all of the veg-heads like Janet.
Come on November, can't wait.

The G loop at beverly is shady and has a bath house. There is a stream that runs past many of the sites, and loads of big trees. Some sites are pull-thoughs. We have really enjoyed beverly beach. Other areas of the campground are nearer the ocean but they are windy and more public. oh yeah.... I've got a big pot. THey sell fire wood at the park gate and each site has a table and a fire ring.

So, who's in?
If I go, will someone back my trailer into a spot?

We plan on being there on Friday and would be happy to help. Just look for the 20' Argosy Minuet with the Multi colored flag on the front.

Is there a web site?

Steph, how far is it from Portland or the WA/OR border... I'm off that weekend, and maybe the family could come. I'll have to look it up.

I'm assuming this is not a WBCCI event?

Count me in! I'm retired now, and looking for another good reason to take out the "twinky"! I've driven thru the CG, but never stayed there. Looks neat. I have a large pot that could be used for fish pot or Sangria wine (whatever your pleasure)! Would love to meet some other NW'erners. If you want, I could even do the reservations. Might want to include some of the Western Oregon Unit AS'ers, although they are having a Rally at the Blue Ox RV Park in Albany on 19-20-21st . Don't want to steal their thunder! The coast is always more fun, and since I haven't met either group yet (except online), I may decide to be a renegade to my local Unit!

why not!

Okay, I'll be there. I'm worried about getting a later start heading south but c'est la vie! I'll get to meet all of you, get much-needed airstreaming tips, visit old friends in Newport.....can't pass this up.

Thanks for the offers of parking help...I will surely take you up on them.

Yippeeeee

We're in!

Steph, we'll be coming (late), as the kids have school that day (leaving from Seattle), but save us a spot.

How do we go about paying?
