Hello all, This is CC's better half. I have a couple of desserts for the weekend and am making an egg/cheese dish to go with the excellent french toast... also bringing creamer, sugar, and sweetner for coffee.... see some of you tomorrow!

Hey campcollecter - do you get a "corporate employee discount" at state parks?

Don't worry the map is deceptive, the shower building is closer to 8 9 or 11. Don't forget your soap and shower radio.

arrrghh
sorry guys, I don't think we're making it this time. Time has been slipping away, and I'm not any closer to finishing up. Can someone else bring the cheese? I'll continue working on it tomorrow, and maybe be able to run out on Friday, but I'm not holding my breath.
Bummed - but I'll catch the next rally!

Com'on, Marc, you can pull it together enough to travel. We'll help you tinker with it while you're here. It'll be fun!

Just picked up our "Twinky" from George Sutton RV for some warranty work and furnace repair today. As I was arriving home, I usually pull over onto a grassy area to turn around (we're on a cul-de-sac w/o curbing). I did this same manuver Monday on return from the tulip festival and everything went great........but this time I went too slow and sunk my rear wheels down into the mud and quickly got stuck . Had to call a tow truck to pull me out and after all said and done it cost me $190 (which was well worth it considering he pulled the TV and AS through the mud). Insurance should cover it. Anyway, we will leave Thursday afternoon and arrive about 6 pm.
Anxious to see everyone.
We'll bring coffee/condiments & bread/butter/garlic......let us know if you need anything else.
Marc....we'd sure like to see you if you could at all make it!
Annette.....we'll be thinking of you.......I've been following your Blog......some exciting times in AZ eh!
Looking forward to meeting new folks from the Portland area!

Jim, It has been pretty darn exciting down here in southern Arizona. And trailer park life...well, what can I say?
Yep, Stef, it is hard to tear myself away from this nice weather. I'll say no more (don't want to rub it in). Will Dusty be at the mini rally?
I have great pics from the Beverly Beach gathering of people in front of their airstreams. I'll post them on this site or on my web site...I'll let you know. Have a great time everyone!

Well, give it the old collage try and if you can make it even limping in I have a whole bag of tools, parts and a lot of elbow grease ready to work.
Good Luck

We are planning on arriving mid-day Sat. and will be in a tent (we may not stay if it is really raining since we won't have the protection of our Airstream ...though we are bringing pictures of her!). Our 60 traveler is completely gutted awaiting the next big step. We would love to walk around and talk to folks about what to do, how to do it, why to do it, when to do it, etc. Looking forward to meeting some local Airstream folks. Stacia and Martha (and Hobie and Roxie the dogs)

Cool, we'll look forward to seeing pictures of your traveller. I'm sure you'll get lots of inspiration from the other vintage (and new) units.
I ran into town last night and saw an AS motorhome parked near a restaurant on Main. Hmm, here for the rally, or just passing through? We'll know soon!

What a great time !
I went to the Battleground Lake Forum rally on Saturday. It was really great to finally put faces to some of the names here on the forums. Although I didn't have my Caravel with me I still had a great day. Thanks Janet and Gary for the spaghetti feed ! and of course the fish story telling contest prizes, lol !

And Chris you missed the wonderful breakfast!
Yes! FUN times, great food, and wonderful Airstream stories--very enlightening. We're looking forward to doing it again and seeing how the restoration projects are progressing.

That was totally a blast. We had about ten trailers, all great folks! We fished, visited trailers, had fun around the campfire, heard some songs, played with other people's pets, ate a LOT of great food, and made new friends. Those who couldn't bring their trailers brought pictures, and still had fun visiting. Even the rain couldn't damp our enthusiasm.
I barely made it, working on my Caravel to get it ready to go until late Thursday night, but it was worth the work! I had no working appliances and had to sleep in a sleeping bag to stay warm. My husband was sick with a cold and didn't come at all, stayed home where it was warm. In the morning I went around and mooched off of whoever would have me I had no idea I would have so much fun at a rally literally across the street from my house!
Thanks to everyone who came and made it a great weekend! I hope those who took pictures will post some here when they get home and recover
