So it sounds like we shouldn't have to worry about anyone needing a spot held for them, everyone coming from far away is getting there early. Great! I'm going to let Darol worry about his his group, because I'm not sure how many he has rounded up at this point. We might have quite a little gathering.

Anyone else from here planning to show?

We would love to go, but out trailer isn't ready for an adventure yet (although we're getting close!) We'll catch you next time!

Oh no!!

I thought I had my water lines all buttoned up, but when I hooked up the city water line, I found a waterfall under the trailer. (see "busted pipes" thread started by sfixx)

AND my furnace isn't working. I wasn't so worried about this (just bring my plug in one), but I'm not so sure I'll get the water lines all hooked up in two weeks time. Keep your fingers crossed for me. It looks like I'll be gutting 80% of the bathroom to get this one fixed....

On the bright side, this didn't happen while I was on the road, right?

I suppose I could just use buckets to flush, but I'm not so sure the kids and my mother in law would find this all too amusing. Off to work I go!

I have my work cut out for me prior to the rally - WHY does this seem to happen each time I want to use the trailer?!?

"Lord won't you buy me a C-C-D?"
"My friends have shiny trailers, I must make amends?"
"Lord won't you buy me that CCD......"

Fix it quick - Gary's busy planning the prize for the fishing contest. We had water lines bust on our maiden voyage a few years ago - after we thought we'ld replaced or fixed all the old stuff - we were wrong. Gary spent a day in the parking lot of the Ace hardware in cresent city, ca. lying on his back replacing all the fittings around the water heater and cussing. The store manager spent hours bringing various tools, and "trial" fittings out to the trailer and then leaning up against the door opining about retirement.....

Chin up.

Lord won't you buy me a new ccd
With galvanized ends, they ridicule me
My eternal project is my Argosy
Lord won't you buy me a new ccd .......

Just an update: Darol emailed to say he's pretty sure he's lined up six trailers to the party, there's about five confirmed here (if I recall correctly) and a couple more I've contacted off the forum, so it looks like we might have about 12 or so all together. I think we might get some visitors Saturday as well from folks who don't have their trailers done yet but want to drop by and say hi.

I went by the park today and talked to the ranger. He said the park hasn't been more than half full the past few weekends (even with it being spring break around here), so he doesn't think we should have any problem finding room for our whole party.

Thank you so much Janet for inviting us to the mini-rally in Battleground. As you can tell by the picture our new '68 Overlander could use some more work before we go on such a long journey. We've only had the airstream a week, as you can tell, lots of grime and build up.

P.S. Want to meet this Campcollector....we are looking for good chalk and shell casings to use on our first trip.

Jim and Kathleen -
Your overlander (photo in previous post) appears to need polish...

Campcollectior is charming - he's actually a park ranger - kinda makes you feel all warm and fuzzy about staying at state parks. ..... Anyway feel free to drop in - and keep your eye on the forum - we do these pick up rallies a couple of times a year.

If we were a little closer we would stop by, but its a long way to Battleground from Wenatchee. We might try to get Our Lady of Aluminum up and running by the 22nd. Maybe we will go as far as Sun Lakes or the Potholes. As you can see she isn't that bad, but she does need new toilet and back window.

Almost time for the rally - cool, cool , cool...

We still need coffee on sunday am - anyone feeling ambitious? Other wise you are each responsible for your own caffeine needs....

We're gonna be there on thursday - with tools. Mark will get loads of help installing his univolt - if it arrives in time.

The fishing contest prize is cool and in exceptionally fine taste- are you ready? ---- side bar: I'm betting no one catches anything but old boots

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone. I won't be around for the Friday night dinner we're having our cast party for the play we just finished at the same time. But I'll be back that evening, and hanging around the rest of the weekend. Can't wait to go fishing - just got my license!

We have a big (30 cup) electric coffee pot we can bring, if there's a place to plug it in!

Bring the pot - coffee is important!! We will find a place to plug it in - even better - we'll bring a generator - now there's a good use for a honda! Or maybe we could heat the contents with one of campcollectors devices....

PS - do you have ground coffee to put in said pot?
