Ok then, we'll do it at BG Lake the weekend of April 15-17. Anyone who can get there a day early and claim their spot, do so - we'll probably get there nice and early Friday since we're so close. I have to say, most of the campers show up late Friday, after work, so as long as we make a move earlier in the day, we should be fine. If worst comes to worst, I really could fit quite a few rigs in our field next to the driveway!

When we get closer we'll figure out how many spots I (or someone else who's there early), needs to 'reserve' on Friday.

I'm not going to email everyone about this one, we'll keep it small so we don't have to worry about grabbing a bunch of spots. Everyone who was on the last campout was on the forum anyway, except Francis, so I'll email her and let her know about it.

We'll still see Marc & family in Lincoln City the next weekend - got to see that silver Argosy (if they let it in!)

Janet had a great idea for a campout at an arts festival in Trout Lake, WA in July. Sounds like fun!

My trio is playing at the Trout Lake arts fest july 16 and 17. Last year we camped at this county park - it was lovely - a little rugged - sort of state parkish. We will camp here again this year. The festival is nifty, there are ice caves nearby you can tour and it's at the foot of mount adams.

Mt. Adams Guler Trout Lake County Park
Trout Lake, WA, 98650
509-773-3900
45 campsites, group facilities, covered picnic gazebo, playground equipment, public restrooms, showers. Bring quarters for showers & firewood. No reservations except for the group facilities.

Looking forward to Battle Ground. Check back here for saturday dinner plans....

Ok, great chat idea, guys.

I emailed everyone I know off the forum who might be interested in joining us. That was only nine people, but you never know, it might stir up a few more participants. I emailed Van too.

Count me in for OJ and Firewood!

Sounds like Frances will be joining us, and Janis from the Oregon Unit, who has a vintage Bambi, will try to make it also.

I can't decide which trailer to bring on Saturday. I can bring the 25 foot AS or the 13 foot Burro. The Burro is white. Maybe it could pass for a Argosy. The wife hasn't decided if she wants to go yet.

Post It a go

I'm in for the dessert and will bring some firewood and offer what skills I have scullery wise, last time I cooked for a group it was inmates fighting fire and they weren't very picky.

Way to go janet on the menu!

Hats off as well to gary and all the logistics of his truck full of camping gear.

Ok you all can count me in. I took Friday off. I am the newbie with the 1965 Caravel. I am thinking that it will be done enough to bring it along. If it isn't I will still stop by. So I am guessing that I don't need to or can't make reservations ? I will sleep in my pickup canopy if all else fails. I am looking forward to getting together informally with other Airstreamers !

Darol has invited a buch of people he knows, so we're probably up to about ten total. He went by and talked to the ranger too, but they won't budge on the reservations issue - but they thought we had a pretty good chance of finding spots for everyone.

I had a dream

With the fact that none of us have reservations at BGSP CG,I had a dream last night....... that we arrived Thursday pm before the rally and the CG was full......of cars????......and I had to figure out which spaces were open/taken so I could reserve them for the rally. I had remembered CC's tricks to save spaces.....so was hurredly running around trying to use these......weird!!! Anyway, we're looking forward to it, reservations or not......and I figure we can camp in Steph's driveway if worse comes to worse!

Bwah-ha-ha, I can just see Jim running around painting chalk outlines on the campsites

I think it will be fine. I'll wander over there on Friday mornings and afternoons between now and then and see how busy the place looks. I walk over there all the time, but I don't always walk through the campground, and it's usually pretty slow until you get into summer. But like the ranger said, this has been a weird year, with all this nice weather, it's hard to predict.

Think of it as part of the adventure!

Question Show Time

Battle Ground Lake, Battle Ground Washington, April 15-17 .

Thought I would bring up the Mini Rally again to see if anyone else is interested in attending the rally with all who are all ready committed or should be...
Ought to be a great time, if nothing else you should all come and watch Jonathan (Campcollector) light a camp fire, quite a show.

"Mini Rally"??

Tell me again why we're calling this a "Mini Rally"??.......we're going to be just as big as the NorCal, Moraine View, and Hiwasee(sp) forums rallies (10-15 units)......aren't we? Maybe cuz we don't not have any moderators in attendance. ...... but I don't think there are any in the NW!
I know there's gotta be other NW AS'ers out there that would enjoy the group coming to BG SP......so let's RALLY!

I started out calling it a no-host mini-rally (don't remember who I stole that from). It's just a forum rally. Room for all. Half the folks coming don't even know about the forum, but they're welcome too. Just a bunch of ASers getting together for a good time.

Maybe it's 'mini' because we don't have all the meals, activities, and morning buglers of a WBCCI rally

I can see the local headlines now

Rouge Airstream group decends on Battle Ground lake State Park.

Battleground WA April18th.

A rouge and unsactioned group of aluminium toteing renagades caused havouc this weekend in Battleground. Park rangers are still realing from the effects of the 20 plus units that took over the parks facilites this last friday night. Local campers were shocked to find all the sites were completly over run with large aluminum trailers. Reports are still scetchy about the chalk outlines and spent shell casings found at the site but no shots or injuries were reported.
