Nancy Mac, thanks for the Atomic House info. Sounds like my kind of shop. I may have to swing over there and see what kind of neat stuff I can find for Elvis.

Yeah, I want to meet him too, in one piece. Elvis is still in the building, shell off frame. A bad winter among other things has pushed his completion date out quite a bit. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the fall.

As long as Dacia makes her dutch oven mac and cheese (50's Style) with crunchy topping, we can wait to meet Elvis next time!

The campground sent me an official list of who has called in reservations, and where they are tentatively placed on sites. They took total length or rig with tow vehicle into consideration. Anyone is welcome to move to a spot marked open, but let me know so I can change it with the campground. The sites above the pavilion are water only. Site 61 is very short, so if we get a caravel, bubble, or bambi we are set . 64 I am told is difficult to back into with the trees.

Looks like we are missing about 3 people from the signup page who have not yet made reservations. At least there are plenty of spots left. We plan on being there by noon on Saturday.

Hola from Costa Rica
Jack and I are leaving Costa Rica tomorrow morning for Missouri one month is a long time to be away from the Grandkids. We have not had internet access and we were glad to see 76Sovereign on the list of confirmed attendants. We are so looking forward to the rally. Will post more when we get home.

OK Jack and I are NOT leaving Costa Rica
Our flight was canceled because of the snow in Denver...next flight on that same airline..APRIL 6th! We can't stay here until April!
So our only option was to buy other tickets on other airlines to get us to Missouri by Friday.....1600 bucks on top of the other round trip ticket! WTFREAK!
I think we had insurance for that.
Anyway Talk to you later in the week when we are home. SOOO looking forward to the Rend Rally

Kani,
Bummer about that. I hope they reimburse you for your expenses. Time to head back to Bioelly farms?
On a side note, I am listing the rally's link on Facebook in case anyone cares to sign up there and invite their friends.

How exciting! Are you planning the full timing lifestyle, or just for a short time?
The campground will again be providing coffee and freshly made donuts for the group under the pavilion on Saturday morning!

Sorry Alice! I can't make any promises about the doughnut consumption on Saturday morning! All I know is that they are made fresh in West Frankfort down the road. The doughnut shop is actually what inspired me hosting the first rally. I was doing a physical for the shop owner, and thought the area was very beautiful. It would be a perfect rally location, and I told him we would order doughnuts from his shop.
Low and behold, Mary and Reed offered to get us doughnuts from there before I had told them the story about it.
It's a delicious win/win situation

we have sold the house...most of my stuff 99%...is gone...DW has stuff.. so she is storing that stuff until.... I can't wait...Wednesday morning we are headed out...been out before and the difference this time is NO HOUSE... only an airstream...hurray so we are spending a few days in east texas looking at the dogwoods in bloom...rememberting the ledgend of the curse of the dogwood tree...as the source of the wood for the cross of calvary... and then onward to arkansas to visit a 96yr old aunt for her birthday...
then the plan is the mississippi river.....but now arkansas is getting in the way...it is a beautiful state ...i want to meander around it for a while....all enroute to rend lake and the rally

Hey Kingfisher24,
Your profile shows you are into BBQ. What may it take to entice you into some of that lovely pulled pork for the rally?

I have always wanted to roast a whole pig.... and last year for the fourth of july my friend in barnesville ohio...dickinson cattle company the purveyor of nieman marcus quality texas longhorn cattle...was guinea pig enough to let me roast two 60lb piglets for a crowd of sixty... and the remanents of that feast is what is represented in my profile picture....
no one got sick or died from that feast
so that being said...if we wanted to arrange something like that for the rally ...i suppose it could be done...
someone with local access to some fresh sweet young piggies...a pit made of concrete blocks and an ample supply of hardwood and a makeshift grate of some sort....
but i am going to do it again in barnesville ohio...most probably on the forth of july...and will keep you posted....
