We arrived home about 2 hours ago and finished unloading everything about 45 minutes ago. Collin got a MUCH needed bath, and Amy is having her turn now. On our 2nd load of laundry, and 2nd load of dishes too.
I want to thank everyone who attended the rally this past weekend. Forum members hankandlois and overlander64 made the trip without their trailers, but a fun time was still had. We really only had two thunderstorms during the rally lasting about an hour each time, but they were very bright lightning strikes and thunder that could shake the trailer. Most of the rain went north of us. Jonathan and Jessica won the popularity contest with their margarita-ville tent serving us fresh strawberry margaritas at open house.
Big thanks to Alumatube, mcair, Airweim, Isadora, and Airstream of Chicago for donating prizes for the event. Everyone in attendance left with a prize of some kind. The potlucks were some of the greatest I have ever seen at a rally hands down (Ever had a walking taco? You would be amazed at how awesome they are!) Alumatube and myself decided to smoke pot all weekend for the potlucks
I have posted some photos below that were posted by various attendee's facebook pages.

This wood pile started taller than the green wall, and spanning all of the lumber used to keep it off the ground. Between Wednesday night and Sunday morning it all got burned.

Got home around 6:30 this evening. Awesome rally, y'all! Great food, great drink, the biggest hottest 24/7 campfire I've ever seen, and lots of great people.
A big shout out to Nancy for quenching my Ale-8 craving, and to Tradewind brother Brian for fixing all my Tradewind's stuff.
Awesome photos, Steve. I gotta go through mine and post a link ASAP.

Glad you made it home Dacia. I believe you mean "Susan" instead of "Nancy". Susan brought the Ale Eighty One.

Oops, I meant Susan. Geez, I got confused. I should have just said Alumatube. Susan, forgive me.
I seem to be asking for forgiveness a lot this weekend.

Our crew arrived home around 3:00 this afternoon. Trailer is mostly unloaded, the rest will get done tomorrow. All the animals have been picked up and are now quite happy to be back home. Romeo was PO'd at us for awhile for leaving him here without Peter but he is now over it and demanding attention. The chicago traveller is due home any minute so the normal chaos is about to resume. When do we go out again?

A great time had by all
We had a great time. Had some great food. Met alot of great people. Lucy met alot of other nice doggies(sniffed alot of butts). And the weather didn't bother us. Looking forward to next year already. Here are a couple of pictures I took. Thanks to Steve, Amy, Colin and everybody for making us first-timers feel very welcome.

Photos are Up
Go to Traveling with Elvis to access the entry with the photo album. Just click on the slide show and download any or all that you want.
Dogs and kids, they are great photography subjects. So don't be surprised if you see lots of 'em.
Let's go party again!

Great pictures Dayshift! Thanks for sharing. We had such a wonderful time, it just ended way to soon. Thank you so much Steve and Amy for all your hard work and thank you Steve with Airstream. The model you brought was perfect and your family is awesome. You fit right in.

Home last night, after spending 2 days at Babler State park west of St Louis. Drove the last 100 miles in the rain, we left home in the rain and came back in the rain!
Battery power is not working in the Argosy, don't know if it is the battery or something went wrong with the converter. It was still humming away but the battery is not being charged. Jim will look at it today and have the battery checked.
What a great weekend! I think I finally am hungry again after eating all that wonderful food!

Just remembered that we picked up a brown Coleman lawn chair from the campground. If anybody is missing this one let us know. We will try to get it back at a future rally.
