It's the outhouses. Showers are in the middle of the campground.

Yep it is an outhouse......but I don't remember anyone complaining about smells....or am I in the dark on this? Didn't know the bathhouse was on the gamey side either. It looks nice from the outside.. Maybe with a bigger crowd from us, that facility might be a little better kept.
We are down to 3 months. This is our highest number of confirmed reservations at this early date.
FYI, the Greater St. Louis WBCCI unit folks will be getting their rally notices by next week and I'm expecting at least 10 units to show. If you have been sitting on the fence on this, you might want to move ahead and get your reservation in. I fully expect that all of the reservable sites will be taken by end of April. While there are other sites in the campground, they are on a first come first served basis and if you are turned down for a reservation, you might need to come in on Thursday the 8th to get one of the non reservable sites.

Just got off the phone with Mary at the campground. All the top row is gone, but the two sites closest to the entrance. She (unofficially) penciled me in for A-9 on the second row. Gotta write the check and then get to work on the trailer.

Thanks Greg, let me know when you are confirmed. There are 8 reservable A sites in that second loop (A9-A16) including the one you are attempting to get. Also the reservable P sites extend out of the first loop so I think P39 next to me may still be open, then we hit P37-P24 in the reservable pool. Our biggest turn out has been 26 units so I think we will easily top that this year.
The P37-P24 sites ring the edge of the campground and are nice sites. Those 2 sites, closest to the entrance are P50 and P51. They normally hold those out since they are less level and not quite as nice.....but if you need a site, its better than being turned down. I think this picture shows the first loop. The site on the left is either P49 or P50, so this will be you some perspective of that loop.
Campfires, Movies and dinner will be held at the area between A7 and A8.
One request is that if any of you with reservations are going to cancel, please let me know. If the campground fills, I might start a standby list that would take care of those not wanting or can't come early to get one of the non-reservable sites.

Received the confirmation letter yesterday. Looks like Big Al has a new neighbor. They gave us A3! This is two sites down from were we were last time.
I guess I should drag my butt away from the computer today, open up the old girl, and see how she survived the winter.
See you there,
Tom and Sue.

We got our confirm letter from the campground last week while out of town. We are in slot P43 arriving on Thursday evening and looking forward to meeting everyone. It will be myself, my wife Sloane, son Jensen (2yo), daughter Ellison (cant roll over alone young), and blue heeler Ranger (70yo in dog years).
You get impressions of what people might be like based on their "stage names" and just meeting everyone to confirm or deny suspicions is half the fun.
See you all soon with land yacht and canoe (also aluminum) in tow!
