What to bring

Hmmm......what to bring....what to bring.

I have a few things in mind, but just can't decide. Here are my thoughts:
Perhaps I'll bring watermellon -I learned a few interesting things to do with a watermellon on the 4 1/2 years I spent in college. OR maybe a simple jello......another item I learned how to season during time spent in Champaign.I also learned uses for brownies and Kool-aid (remember the old commercials where the Kool-aid guy would smash through walls when you took a drink of Kool-aid.....wait a second, real or flashback?)
****NOTE***** I never inhaled those brownies!

After this post, I'm guessing all will either avoid my dish completely, or seek it.

Seriously- I'll probably bring some sort of kid-friendly side dish, like jello. Plain Jello. Not the fun kind.....or maybe I could make two batches.........Two batches of jello.....extravagant addition to the feast!

The point of this post: I'll bring something. Hope that helps ya, Norbert.

No plans from my side. My poochies are inside dogs so other than for relief, they spend their hours snoozing in the cool.

I'm going to HATE the June weekend of this rally when I'm sitting at home in middle Missouri and all of you are hobnobbing in middle Illinois! Drat it all. ~G Have a wonderful time, and I wish we were there with you.

So if you are going to be sitting in Missouri what is your excuse for not sitting in Illinois with us? And if you show up maybe we can help with your sagging ceiling if you haven't dealt with that yet!! I want to help.

Well things are pulling together. We went up to Bill Thomas Camper Sales and picked up some of the give away stuff that they have kindly supplied to us. Also be aware that the Forums will be providing a some special give aways and attendance prizes. I've got a few things in my prize booty so every one will walk away with at least 2 gifts and maybe if you are lucky, more!

If all goes right with the traffic, Silvertwinkie will be there early enough on Friday with his LCD projector for us to set up a movie night. Valhalla2Go is supplying the sound system. I'm bringing a small DVD player. The plan will be Airstream movies on Friday....and we do have some things that I'm pretty sure most of you haven't seen yet. Saturday will be Hollywood night with a opening cartoon for the kids and for us big one's too called "Mickey's Trailer"...and then following one of my favorite flicks which is suitable for all ages. Here's a line from the movie "For what we are about to see next, we must enter quietly into the realm of genius."

We will be using site A07 (Flamingo-kid1's site) as our movie theater. We thank Rochelle and her hubby for allowing us to their trailer as the screen and their site to gather on.

More coming later.

Regards,

Jack

Al, you sound pretty persuasive. Hubby can't get away now-just made a sideways move in work and feels it's important to stay pretty close to the job, and I can see his point. Also, I just can't get him interested in the trip--he wants rushing water, mountains, high scenery. I tell him it's the company that counts with this rally, but no go so far I'm going to work on one of my daughters this weekend and we might decide to make the rally together. Besides, she is the handy one who would help with the sagging ceiling ~G

Keep in mind that the A09 site might be still available depending upon whether it has been officially canceled and whether its been reserved by someone outside our group. I'd love to see another forum person get this spot since its right in the thick of the food and movie area.

Site available

Yes the site is still available. I know I will not be able to use it, but I have held it hoping another Forum member would want it. I will not be able to hold it much longer though. It would not be fair for the campground to turn someone away and this site not be used.

If you were late in making your decision to go, here is your chance to get in on the action. P.M. me.

I'm imagining this site, smack dab in the middle of the Airstreamland (kinda like Disneyland, all we need is to dig a moat!) - Flamingos playing on a trailer - whirly gigs, dog corrals -everyone dressed up as birds eating mystery jello, and some nice normal family pulls in to camp thinking it a stroke of luck there's a cancellation..... It'll be like a twilight zone episode for the poor saps. Ah, and it'll give us something to do if we get bored. We can convince them to become one of us. Rally's a good time and place for a brain washin'. Heck, the more I think of it, the more I think - LEAVE IT OPEN! And let's all make a point to act especially strange (note I don't just say strange?) whenever they're near.Tormenting the innocent is just good clean fun! (evil laugh)

Kinda reminds me of this time when I was twelve......oh, I've bored you enouh with my stories. I'm saving this one for the new folks in site A09!
