i'll be lucky to get me, muh dawg & the trailer all there in one piece, much less in working electrical condition. but i'll think of something foodwise. will i be the only vegetarian? would anybody eat salad (mostly from my garden) with oil&vinegar already added? or i could do lots of little caprese salads (thin slice of mozzarella topped with tomato, basil, balsamic & olive oil).

Either sounds good to me 'kid! The Texas Caviar is vegetarian hearty with black-eyed peas, hominy, and other good thangs.

Norby & I have been around the block on lutefisk so (if I can use a fishing simile) like an old lunker I didn't rise to his bait .... but I do get up my nerve at holiday time for some of Susie's family tradition. I'd rather have krop kakor, Swedish brown beans and rice pudding.

Y'all remember to at least bring a copy of any recipe to copy, y'hear?!

Veggie tales.....

I will be bringing a cauliflower/veggie salad from an old family recipe...(Mine)! I may need to use someones grill to cook myself a meat course. Will someone let me know if I can impose on them for this? Thanks, Ed

hi chris

welcome to the forums.....

stockton lake is really nice and far enough from branson to make the area inviting....
nice lake, nice people and simple camping areas too.

the rally in question is near le roy, illinois.....
use map quest to find it.
from lake stockton it isn't a simple or short trip....
more than 400 miles one way.

basically you would need to go south
from stockton lake, to springfield
then take i44? to st louie area
then i55 over to normal/bloomington....
the ralley is just south east from there,
near le roy, illinois.
it's a long trip even by interstate.

come on up anyway!
the more the better!

cheers
2air'

Well, I greatly under estimated the amount of work that was necessary and over estimated the amount or time I had! Therefore the "Cloud" will not be flying in time for the rally. I have reserved site A09. If anyone is interested in this site let me know. I was looking forward to meeting a lot of new folks, but it just is not gonna happen this time.

Hey Greg, don't let lack of Airstream hold you back from coming. If you have another means of camping or whatever you are welcome.
