Coming too! Need Help...

If anyone going to the rally has an old Univolt Please PM me here or E-mail at: caredcarver@aol.com if I can get it or just the fuse panel board out of it from you. My 1967 Safari had no circuit fuse panel inside the Univolt that I removed. Guess that is why my Univolt wouldn't work. So now that I have the new converter from Inland I'm short one fuse panel to get it working. Any help on this would be great! Thanks....Ed

Sorry you won't be there Ron. We will miss your presence. Have you heard from Panub and her hubby? We have lost touch of them since the baby was born.

We need to start a list of Moraine View alumni who we've lost track of. Remember PhilandorSue who had the vintage unit? Phil worked all night just to get running lights working for the trip?

Theme

Well we need a theme this year. Last year was back to the beach and it ended up pretty good.

My nomination for this year's theme, "All things feathered". .

I figure this can cover the flamingo folks, the parrot heads, the patriotic eagle folks, the bird fever folks, the pirate folks, the palm tree folks, and even the flying rat folks (as we call the pigeons here in the city). Not to be left out are the ladies who love to wear boa's, the empty nesters, the broods, the native American headdress folks and the hair stylists who can do a feather cut.
Not to be forgotten are the folks who can make a mean omelet, fried chicken lovers and the barbecue the bird folks.

OK folks let your imagination run wild and show your feathers at this year's rally!

Regards,

Jack

"All things feathered"

Story:

When I was a kid, my mother would always let me choose what I wanted to be for Halloween, no questions asked, and attempt to make whatever it was my heart desired out of whatever fabric I chose at Minnesota fabrics. That would explain the year she spent hours cutting and sewing a lime green flannel cat costume for me. But the most challening costume was the year I wanted to be a turquois bird.

(yes there is a point coming, if you're bored now, best stop reading).

No pattern to be found, my mother did her very best to "wing it" (bird humor) and make me a turquois hat, foam feet with orange tights, and an amazing wingspan of turquois fabric with rows and rows of bright colored rainbow dyed feathers sewn on the inside. Now, I'm quite certain that a bird of this variety does not occur in real nature - at least none that I ever had the pleasure of sighting. And I was a sight. You can imagine my excitement as I flew around the neighborhood trick-or-treating with a cloud of feathers that had slipped from my wings behind me.

(point coming)

I can't believe it, it's a dream come true. I have spent the last twenty some odd years waiting for, a chance to wear it again! This "All things feathered" theme is the cat's meow!

Where have you been?? I've missed your witty banter and now I don't see your name on the rally list. How are you gonna wear that bird outfit? You'll be all dressed up and have nowhere to go!!! There would be no place better to try ones wings (again) then at the Rally.

hadn't thought of that. I was 9, now I'm.....older than 9.....and well, substantially larger (here's my chance to throw in the 2 kids later thing). The costume has strap on wings with a coordinating bodysuit and tights - they stretch...........could be risking a blowout.....could get ugly (now imagining myself in a 9 year old's tights and bodysuit) let me rephrase that, could get uglier....... Ah, what the heck, it's all things feathered! and if I recall corectly, wearing the costume gives the wearer super birdlike powers. Yea....it'll be great.
