Hi all:

We have made reservations to camp in the Cincinnati area (Winton Woods) July 5-10 and near Delaware, OH (Cross Creek) July 10-12. The Cincy trip was intended to be a co-workers campout, but so far no one else has made the commitment, so for now it seems we're on our own. The Delaware one is because Andrea's dad lives nearby and we want to expose him to camping. Cross Creek is highly rated so we want to see what it's like, too.

We are trying to gather a few Ohio Airstreamers for another fall rally at Dillon Dam State Park. A pot luck is planned for Saturday night and possibly a weenie roast for Friday. Brenda and I will be arriving on Thursday the 8 and will be on lot 135. The lots 131,133,137,139,141, and 142 are pet friendly, have 20/30/5 amp electric, and offer a good view. Lots 132, 134, 136, 138, and 140 are pet friendly, have 20/30/5 amp electric, but are more private. All lots are wooded. Lots became reserve-able today so make your reservations now. We could do the Winton WOODS for a couple of days but the Cross Creek rate is to high per day. We like to keep it down to about $20 a day or so. We are limited income ya know. and also because we have 3 dogs and some places don't take kindly to that many. We tend to stick to state parks.We will see. I will ask Winton Woods if they mind.
Our calender still looks good in May.
If anyone is intrested in gettin together somewhere.

Ditto what Roger said. It seems like the campgrounds that have the "Resort" as part of their name are expensive. I am not sure that Larry and I use all of their facilities to justify that cost/night. We usually would do better in the middle of the week with our Golden Buckeye! LOL!

This weekend we are signed in at Mohican State Park for this weekend of May 1st-3rd. I am posting this here, just in case some of you are still watching for the Mid and NE Ohio folks to go camping. "atobols" family is going to join us. We are on site 83 and they are on 84. We hope that some other will join us.

Looks like this thread is slowly fading away. I've been trying to catch up - just reading about some of the past rallies makes my mouth water. By catching up, Becky has nearly recovered from her accident last year. The attorney is still hagglin' with the insurance company on the settlement. Dr's bills added up to a lot, massage therapy continues to add up and other bills put the total bill quite high. Until it's over, I guess it isn't over so we'll continue to wait and see what happens.

We've been staying very close to home. A week end at Dillon two weeks ago, and a weekend at Delware is all we've made it so far this year. We're trying to get down to Cedarbrook in Lebanon next weekend (Thurs.- Sunday). I'm preently going through 25 radiology treatments for a brain tumor I've battled for years. Had it surgically removed in 1992 but it has returned. Hope the radiology does the trick. It really wipes me out EVERY day - need a 2-3 hour nap after the treatment. Tomorrow I reach the halfway point of the treatments. Need the weekends away to relax a little.

We're shopping for a new TV. That keeps me accupied daily.

Gotta run - dinner awaits. Talk with you all again.
