We are so glad that you are having a great trip!!! Sounds like a real adventure!! I hope you are getting pictures!
We had a rainy adventure and lots of wind here today. The rest of Hurricane "Ike" is supposed to come through, I guess. Tomorrow we will be picking up limbs and chainsawing up tree branches here. We are thinking of those that are in the real path of Ike down in TX.
I think that the next OH adventure that is sort of planned is in Oct. and I believe that some are headed to Deer Creek State Park.
Larry and I are going to try to camp through October before we have to park it this year. We will keep posting where we are headed in hopes that others will be able to join us. Hope you will be able to join us somewhere along the way. We always enjoy seeing you.

Larry, Loren and I are headed to a dock dogs competition this weekend. We will be camping at Happy Hills Campground at Nelsonville, OH. This is a private park, which is just south of Hocking Hills SP. Loren got her first camper. An old, but cute popup camper which she is having fun reworking. She will be towing!!! LOL! Hope you are all out camping and having fun! Where is everybody this weekend???

We are home this weekend. I am a Certified Penn State Master Gardener and we have are hosting a fall seminar tomorrow.

Next weekend I believe we will be going to Erie, pa. We camped last weekend at Sara's which is right at the entrance of Presque Isle park. We may go there again or we may try the Lake Erie State park a bit over the line in NY.

Larry and I have decided to go to Findley State Park, which is really close to us on Oct. 23-25 (Thurs., Fri., Sat. nights). We called to make the reservations this morning. These spots are in the electric section and they will fill up fast, so if you are interested make the call soon! We are hoping that some of you can join us!!

Hi Lou Hi Larry, got Your phone message. We just reserved 219 which is across and just slightly down from the group You have. We ended up going to Columbus last weekend and spent it with the kids, we didn't camp just used the spare room. Work is very busy and although I am off rotating shifts for the time being I now have to work 6 days and 10-12hr shifts. Weekends have been more flexible with this assignment than they ever have been during my last 13 years. It wont last but going to take advantage while I can. I have plenty of fire wood. it is very old and dry so it will burn fast but I can bring enough for lots of campfire sit around. I want to burn it up and have space in my lean-too. Findley is within the county so no worries about the wood movement restrictions. So are there plenty of first time with the pop up stories for Lauren to tell?

I reserved space #250 although I didn't get a chance to ask Frank about it.

The spots go fast - Lou said so - thus I needed to make an executive decision here right?

Loren has been doing lots of driveway camping and fixing up that "new to her" pop up. So not many funny stories YET!!!! I am sure the fun will continue as she goes off on her own. We will appreciate the fire wood. We are hoping that the weather will continue to be good for camping. We look forward to seeing everyone. Hope some more of the Ohio crowd will join in too.

Glad you are making a little rally. Hope you get a good turnout. We have another committment that weekend. We are camping with another group in Mt Eaton. The RV.Net group. It's only 1/2 hr from us and Bob's sister and her husband are going along. Hope you all have a great weekend. Jayne and Bob

Glad you are getting out and camping too. We are not going to be a large group. I have seen only two others from the forums signing up to go to Findley. Plus my brother and our daughter, Loren. We will have a time. Hope the Ohio weather holds for us all wherever we are all camping!

Are there any plans for potluck Friday or Saturday or both? My executive decision maker (Shinim) has inquired. Will work till 3 Friday and should be there by 4:30 i am guessing.

We haven't made any definite plans, but I think we should continue the tradition. Should we do a weenie roast on Fri. and the potluck on Saturday? I know Loren will join in the fun. Not sure about my brother. He is taking his boat so they may just do their own thing but I will find out. We are planning on being out there by Thurs afternoon, if all goes well.
Of course, all may be a mess too. Mom was back in the hospital this past week. Today they moved her back into the nursing facility in Wellington. She is not in good shape and we are back in the same spot we were in last March. She is barely mobile with lots of help. The tests were not good. So we wait and see what will be. Getting old is hard work.....for everyone!
