Metro-Detroit Rally 2009

We are inviting any and all that can join us again this year in Milan Michigan at KC Campground. This year the rally will be either the first or third weekend in August due to other campground events, so post up your preference and lets get this thing started!

Milan is about 20 miles north of the Ohio state line on US-23 close to Cabela's and of coarse Milan Dragway.

The 2008 rally was one of the best represented rallies I have seen with trailers from the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 90's, and 2000's right up to brand new. I expect that several of these trailers will attend again this year so do not miss it!

We will post the official rally information and sign-up as we get a little closer and more of the details unfold.

I can't think out as far as August yet for a preferred weekend, but after missing 2008 you can bet Lorrie and I will try extra hard to make 2009!

This one is already on my calendar! I probably going to block some spots in late July for the Cedar Point Rally, so I'd personnally gonna lean towards the third weekend for this rally.

Also note that Aug 16th is the NASCAR race at MIS

If it is the 1st weekend in August we can make it. We have not made our vacation plans yet and have the last week of july and first week of august. We where thinking of Maine but a close weekend trip would fit the budget better and I could see some cousins in michigan who are wanting a week get together. So if the 1st week is firmed up count us in.

Hope yours is the third weekend. Join the PA Unit the first weekend in August for a Key West style, margaritas & cheeseburgers Rally at Penn Wood Airstream Park in Limestone, PA. South off I-80 at exit 64. Full hook-ups with cable TV, Wi-Fi. Details to be posted as they become available.

Yep, Lorrie and I will be there Saturday at the Highland House restaurant on M-59. I haven't been there in probably close to 20 years (back when I worked at the GM Proving Grounds in Milford). I wonder if it's changed at all in that time?
