We were the Canadians with the 34' Limited pulled with the white Dodge Megacab. I came on Friday with my daughter and her friend and my wife Marilyn joined us on Saturday.
We really enjoyed all of the people and activities throughout the weekend. Thanks again Rhonda and Dave for all of your efforts. We look forward to the next time.

Introduction
Shawn and Diane,
Although we have made it to all 5 Metro-Detroit (LPPI) rallies, because of a work situation, I was only at the Pot-Luck this year. We have a 1973 22 ft Argosy. Hope to make the whole rally next year. Really enjoyed the company in the time spent this year.

High Jack ALERT!!!
Okay not really just having some fun.
I do have a question for this bunch, Have any of you done a "great lakes circle"?
I want to start the first night in the Detroit area, cross the border in the am, hit Niagara Falls for a night or two, over to the Georgian Bay Ferry north and west to Sault Ste. Marie, then south into Michigan.
I think we could do this in a 11-12 day trip late July, early August.
At the end of the trip I want the Kids to be able to say "On vacation we swam in all of the great lakes!".
So has any one done this? Would you share your route and stops? Oh heck, Do you wanna come along?!
We are looking at this for 2010 but it is time to plan now.

Hello? Anyone ouy there... anyone at all?
Check out this place... South Haven Family Campground, South Haven, Michigan Cabin Rental, RV Park, RV Camping, Camping, Campgrounds, South Haven Campgrounds
I know it is not near Detroit but it is small, new, and clean! We will be checking it out October 16-18. I'll let you know how it is. I know there was some talk about finding a new spot. I also see some good looking spots in Kalamazoo county.

Think I'll be staying home that weekend, cuz if Mike and his family are going camping chances are it's going to rain.

this is true, and still the record is intact! Every outing the past three seasons. (yes, rain during the night counts!) I think we will start camping in December ...at least that way it would be SNOW!

Isn't that ideal camping weather??? Bradley and I always joke about the cold grey rainy days we get camping.
Around the middle to end of October (I think) Brad should be going over the top of Lake Michigan from Door County Wisconsin towards Taquamenon Falls and Mackinaw and Wilderness state parks and I may join him for the colors and a short fall trip. If you are out and about and up for that pm me, I'll keep you posted about our whereabouts. A get-together would be great.
We have winter camped several times. It can be well worth the extra effort if you like winter outdoors.

I wanted to bump this back to the top for one last time.
For those of you who met us and our dogs at Detroit-Metro Rally.
It is will heavy heart we tell you that our Lucy, our blind /diabetic dog( the black/white) passed quietly this morn. She was diagnosed with acute liver failure before the Detroit- Metro Rally. She had a nice vacation and did well when we were there and was her normal BARKIE self, But began to lose weight rapidly after we arrived home and the desision was made after she could not stand to end her suffering. She went peacefully this morning Sept 14 at 11:35 am
We will miss her.

So sorry
Sorry to hear the sad news. We know that little Lucy is in doggy heaven and in no pain. You can be proud of taking her in and giving her a great life.

She will be looking down from doggie heaven and be your guardian angel from now on since you were her saving angels. My thoughts as well as our two furbabies are with you during this difficult time.
