Metro-Detroit Rally 2009 - Page 2

We had a fantastic time last year at this rally. It's quite a drive, and I am hosting another rally in August this year so I doubt we can make it. I will keep it open though just in case.

I'll second that. Last year was a fantastic rally!! You really threw a great shindig. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much.

We'll probably know better what's going on with us closer to the rally date. We are hoping to find some out of state employment but at this point it's anybody's guess what the new year will bring. Nice to know there will be a great rally to be able to go to. You guys rock!!

Assuming that the first weekend is Aug. 1&2, right now that's better for me, but third weekend might work, too.

But only if there's corn. Did someone mention that already?

Yes, I was thinking of trying that this year. Kinda sounded like a good idear for 09. Yep ReeeeeeeeeeeeeeeNeeeeeeeeeeeeeee its underway. Either weekend will work for me as it looks right now.

Ahhhh,some nice bi-color corn ,Roasted in it's husk over a nice coal bed of Hardwood coals ...Makes my Mouth water already !!!!

Boy I miss you guys! I think Dave talked to the campground owner the weekend of the rally. He wasn't messing around about planning the next one. I guess he knows what he wants more than I do because I was actually thinking of checking out some other places but I guess what's one more year at KC.

Anyhow keep warm everyone. I've been dreaming of nicer weather and have started planning the summer camping adventures!

It was great seeing Ralph & Laura & Holly & Buck and everyone else at the Metro-Detroit Unit Luncheon yesterday. Thanks all for braving the heavy snow.

I have to say it was a bit awkward, however, when Ralph got the corn out and started to pass it around to everyone. The waitress didn't know how to handle that. But thanks, Ralph, it was great as always. (How did you keep it warm during the drive to the restaurant?)
