Hi Y'all, I need to ask a new guy, dumb ass question. I know someone here will know. I joined the WBCCI and received the members packet. I had thought about going to the international rally in Madison. I found a pre-registration form to fill out......My wife and I were planning to go, along with my daughter and her college roommate. My question is with the fees. It lists:
Rally fees/adult #attending____ $125 ______
Rally fees/Youth #attending____ $60 ______
Airstream Parking $45 ______
You'll get pumped out once or twice (should be twice) and daisy chain water and share electric so 3 amp will keep the batteries, and fans going. Free ice cream cup by the new Airstream models and entertainment some evenings. Should you add electricity for AC and that is another $235. The early workers and officers get the best deal of pancake breakfasts and appeciation dinners and up to a month stay for the same rally fee as you will be paying. I think one year the New England Unit caravan decided to save money and get more by staying offsite and had full hook-up, hot tub, swimming pool, pavilion, picnic tables and grills, store, grassy site with shade tree and paved pad. But would you believe they wouldn't let them into the rally unlesss they paid the full rally fee and not a day pass amount as they were expecting!!! You will have to excuse me I am always on the WBCCI's collective case to lower costs to reflect what the average member does actually receive and participate in.
But you gotta do it at least once because it is an experience like none other being in a group that large full of Airstreams. A city goes up overnight and each day it grows larger. There is a lot of excitement in finding your friends and making new ones.

Scary as it is the answer is yes. Ralph, Laura and Carol can tell you what you get for that $$$.
I guess I did not realize what a great deal the Milan Rally was last year and it was good, REAL GOOD!!!!! Thanks Dave and Rhonda
Thanks for the info Carol. They most likely don't offer a 3 or 4 day package? The form mentions a increase in fees after January 1st. Does the price go up some more if you wait to sign up until, May? I read your post on the WBCCI forum about a 60's rally. I came of age in the seventies, but count me in. Bon fires, rock music, bar-b-que, maybe a little dancing. Life is good!

Milan last year was terrific!!! That's the way to do it. great hosts, great guests, great times!!! Lets have a repeat this August!!
Those prices are the higher prices, they don't go up again, but the discount early signup period is over. The last day to sign up for 30amp electric is April 1. I think you are going for the included 3amp service? In that case you can just show up and not preregister at all. I have always paid at the gate.
Technically I became of age in the 70s too. I was a mother of two and an old married lady of a couple years when I turned 21 at the end of 1972. Adding the 70s probably would be a good idea! Let's PAR-TAY!!!

Thanks Carol,
You have us figured out....3 amp all the way. Paying at the gate sure takes the pressure off.
If you add the 70's...you can have a little funk and disco too.

I was a salesman for 16 years and I used to say that a good deal is a state of mind. I'm working on it. A few more beers.... maybe a couple shots of Jäger.....you never know. All kidding aside, we would really like to go. I'll have to see what happens to the overtime between now and then.

I tried to tell ya in a nice way AIR DOG .If ya can afford it I wouldn't miss it if I were you. I tend to ruffle a few feathers If I say anymore. But its gonna be EXPENSIVE. Heck I can even afford to join that outfit, let alone pay the rally fees.
Hope ya get to go. I also expect ya at MILAN.

My sister got me hooked on Facebook. Anyone else here addicted as well? I have been having fun connecting with long lost friends! It's almost as addicting as aluminum!
Are you kidding? All our Metro Detroit threads are for hi-jackers, highrollers, highballs and high jinx! We just exchange hats once in awhile. It's only when things really get out of hand that Rhonda ever heads up the Strike Team into stealth action!! I think you are still safe...
