I'm CANADIAN - and there AIN'T NO FLEAS ON US!!!!

Sand fleas or possibly red ants - that give off an ansthetic bite so you do not feel them. I noticed several mounds around Carol's spot and thought maybe that is what was biting Carol - she has many bites too.

But seriously I do not have any - must have been the Canadian ICE that saved me - really though when you go camping bug juice is a good thing to do......

A great soother for the after bite is Aveeno anti itch cream. Better than Calamine Lotion.

keep your hands on the table - and stop itching......

PS ...a fan also does the trick of keeping bugs away

I loved the theater popcorn! Yes Lou and Larry thank you so much. I was a regular.

I am bit and wished I had brought long pants to cover all my bites! I looked like I had chicken pox. But Sharon's products helped a lot. Thank you Sharon.

We had such a lovely rally with the projects for children and the ladies crafting table. Candy, Steph and Lou really outdid themselves with providing a fun time. Lou's banners were so neat as was Renee's license plate holders. Lots of talent in our group.

Anyone have more rally pictures?

I think I am still full from the huge rally breakfast, potluck, and barbecue that Laura and Holly put together our last night!! We had Lou's smoked chicken for dinner last night and now Brad is hooked on them as well.

Yeah that Mud Match sounded wild.. Ole Bone Crusher sent the Slasher back to the border lickin her wounds big time...That Bone Crusher is one BIG MEAN,STRONG back breakin machine. I even heard at the rally that she ate nails for breakfast.. Anybody else hear that too??? Did you see the size of her arms?? My Gosh!!! I see where she got her name!!!! I dont understand why Sharon the Slasher even got it the Mud ring with her...

Cudos for the Met Det Rally

Ike and I would like to thank all of you who worked to put this fun rally together. The raffle was great - thank you Lou & Larry for making the one of a kind AIR flag. I'm so happy our number drawn for it. We'll display it proudly! And the unique idea of the popped corn machine - (do you carry it in the Argosy all the time?) Loved the Wild Hogs! Thanks to those who put that together also.

The activities Steph, Candie and Lou L. planned really made the rally special for the children. Nice touch.

Having been said before, the food at the potluck and brunch was terrific. Something for everyone. Oh, Uncle Buck, love the chefs toque! I'm sure it made your offerings even tastier! Airboss corn - yummy!

I hope I've not forgotten to mention something or someone........so sorry if that is the case.
Best of all are the very nice people we met. As always, welcoming and friendly Airstreamers. Even though we missed a person or two and names are hard to remember with so many new faces at once, we hope our paths cross again one day.

Thanks for the memories!

sue

I got only a couple of mosquito bites, but then I had socks on most of the time during the day when I was wearing shorts and I switched to jeans when it got dark before movie time. Sorry to hear others got bitten a lot more.

I took a few pictures. One of these days I'll download them from my camera to my computer and see what I have (but not tonight).

Look what happens when I disappear!

Yes! I am back!

My little conflict has been resolved to a satifactory level of acceptance.

Now, about the shape of this thread...
Look what happens when you loose your leadership!
Holy cow! Have we resorted to talking about bug bites?
What about the never-ending campfire?
What about Buck almost slipping into a coma?
What about anything Ralph did! I do mean anything too!
What about EVERYTHING Sharon and Carol did, or did not do????
SHEESH!
Come on people!
Let's liven things up a bit!
What about the next rally this fall?
What about the TCT rally at Camp Dearborn?
OK. I have given you all topic ideas... discuss.....

Conflicted and tortured but now you are sprung and spry, hmmm. Glad to have you back from the POWs or was it a loving intervention? Guess now we can all head back due South in a handbag to the land of Louieville.

Okay...now let us take a close look at this situation shall we.....since you have not answered the big question WHY....yet...

It is not that difficult to lead a bunch of Louzers to the fridge or cooler.

Bites are important to this thread as those who do have bites needed an excuse for the communicable disease that they picked up at the campfire or at least at one of them anyway.....

The never-ending campfire was totally necessary - what else was there for the adults to do to occupy themselves - besides the swimming pool and colourful oscilating fans....

Buck was no where near slipping into a coma - that was his only escape from the YOULOU!!!

Ralph...what did he do? - okay so who is Ralph??? was he even there??? oh yeah he is the one with the Receipi that I immediately traded for several Canadian ICE!!!!!

Let us start with what Carol and Sharon did not do....

We did not participate in the total eclipse in broad daylight.....
we did not sleep past 12:00 noon on any ocassion....
we used the indoor facilities at all times.....
we maintained a respectable curfew 4 nights consecutive.....
we did not horde our alcohol behind our trailer....

Now let's just set the record straight.... Bone Crusher and the Slasher come Flasher were both fine upstanding citizens of the LPPI - and what happens at a Rally stays at a Rally......

I have had a BORED meeting...with a unanimous decision that I am no longer the VP in charge of Canadian Beer!!! ...I am now the VP of Cheap Thrills (including the canadian exchange)

Rule #1 At the next Rally campfire all attendees at all times must be fully dressed
Rule #2 NO battery opperated appliances shall be permitted
Rule #3 NO highpowered spotlights shall be used during or after the flames have finished.....
Rule #4 NO international jokes 'EH'
Rule #5 NO setting up of lawn chairs for parking or awning set ups

And that is all I have to say about that.......now that you ARE BACK!~!!!!

TCT is the Tin Can Tourists.
I am thinking about going. Not sure if I can get the Friday off before it or not. It is usually held right in the middle of September.
I am sure the bites were bad. None of my group got any though and did you see how dirty my two little monsters got?
