Nope, but Lorrie and I did get our VAC Vintage Advantage this week. Nothing against previous issues, but this one is the classiest yet, but I know the new editor is looking for story submissions. If you've got a vintage Airstream story, submit it.

Well so far things are good w/the 56'. I worked on it all day today, and actually got up the nerve to plug it in to power!! Everything works, even the reefer! Stunned and amazed.

There is clear separation in the rear and will require some cutting and pasting as far as the frame goes, but only about 6". I cut the rear bumper and tire hanger off completely today and will cut the spare hanger off the bumper and then grind blast and paint the original bumper before I re-hang it. The spare will be moved to the tongue. 99% of the frame is still painted black from the factory, so there is really no need to do anything with most of it.

Wow! Everything works.....that's great. Congratulations. Be sure to post more of your experiences as you go.

Cheers

Lou, Next saturday is fab day for the new tongue and the rear frame. Are you back on normal hours and days? I am going to need help when it comes to re-installing belly pan. The plan is still to get Ike towable and then start the inside clean up and fix replace as needed here at home. I will have to replace the back 8" - 10" of floor in bathroom but so far that is all for the floor.
