Calling all Airstream-Argosy owners, friends and those that are just plain interested. We will be holding the 2nd Annual Metro-Detroit Forum Rally at Apple Creek Campground in Grass Lake Michigan, August 4-6, with early arrival on the 3rd, should you choose (Lou and I will be there by the 3rd).
Located conveniently between Jackson, Ann Arbor and the Irish Hills there's fun in and around the campground for everyone. The campground is minutes away from world famous attractions like Stagecoach Stop and The Mystery Hill!
We have reserved the large secluded group camping area that will hold up to 30 units. Activities include Friday night evening mixer and ice breaker, Saturday potluck with Lou's smoked chicken, an open house and of course the large campfire. Door prizes and raffle have been rumored. Other activities and events to be announced soon!
Contact Ayrstrm2 (John), or call 586-337-1051
or pattersontoo for more information and to register.

Wow, that's nine already and a couple of maybe's!
If I have left you off, please let me know and we'll post you up on the roster.
As mentioned on the other thread Jean and I will be there and have sent Lou our request for a site.
P.S. Thanks to all who have worked so hard on the legwork and logistics.
Can't send cash through the mail but will bring donation to the rally for prizes etc.
Al
Here is some information that Lou posted on the old Rally thread:
To reserve your site:
1. Let John or I know you are planning on attending.
2. Let us know your intended dates of arrival and departure.
3. How many will be in your party.
4. First names of all in your party, (for your rally sign).
5. Ages of any children that will be attending, (for age appropriate gift)
6. Any location preferences within the group area, (i.e. want to camp near a friend)
At the moment it appears we have myself, Lou, HDS and one or two others showing up on Thursday. Would anyone like a Thursday night activity? We'll be buying up all of the antique steals during Friday, but I'm volunteering to be the post 6 pm greeting crew, and to host the mixer at our campsite.
Harold and I would like to start camping on July 25th. This campground is very close to home for us and we have been planning a week of camping anyway. We will both have to go to work from there on a few of the days. If you don't want to make those arangements let me know and I can take care of it from here. If you need us to set up in a certain way just let us know. LeeAnn
You can put me down as a maybe . . . and maybe Lorrie, too. LPPI 1 was a blast - LPPI 2 should be twice as much fun. I really want to make it, but have a lot going on, so I gotta figure out how to make the time. If I do make it, it'll be Friday evening to Sunday only, I'm afraid.

No problem, we will register ourselves probably from Tuesday to the following Wednesday then. Thanks for the headsup on the race, I don't usually keep up with them until they are coming up. I grew up near MIS and don't want to get involved in any of that, (camping or driving). As a teenager I got stuck in a parking lot in Brooklyn for 3 hours because I thought the race got out an hour after it really did, learned my lesson well.
Well, we are looking pretty good with the initial response for the Metro-Detroit Rally!
Looks like this one will be bigger than the first one!
I still have to talk with Jeff Terry but I am sure he will be there.
I would also like to know if anyone would like to do the door prizes and T-shirts still? I would like to start lining this stuff up now.
