FYI
I am looking for something with printing on one sleeve, a logo on the front and some printing on the back.
I do like the web idea Steph mentioned a few posts back.
Right now, I am looking at all options too.
As for a raffle.....
I have a set of four, (yes all four), Airstream BAL crank-down stabilizer jacks. They are BRAND NEW and in the box right from BAL. The set would sell of r over 250 bucks if you were to buy them from Camping World. I am willing to add this to the rally raffle.
Come on, let's get the creativity going!

Do we have a rally name or theme yet? Should have to do with being the Louapalooza 3. Thrice as nice, three states of matter (Michigan Ohio and ?), getting to 3rd base, Triple Play

What are the shirts going to say Lou?

We were going to go with "The LPPI Goes To Hell", as in Hell, MI.
It does not look like that will pan out with the choices that John has researched. We may have to come up with something else.
The rally last year got nicknamed "Lou-A-Palooza". Gee, I do not know how or why that happened!

Yeah we should all go to Hell, if only for the tshirts. Bring out the devil in you and go to Hell with us! Hell's Bells for the gents and handbags for the ladies for favors.

Looks pretty cool. Hell, Michigan USA 48169 The weather man likes to say it's a cold day in Hell.

Hell Creek Ranch Campground--lots to do. Horseback riding through 1000 acres of undeveloped state land, swimming, canoe trips, fishing, hiking, biking, full facilities, new pavilion.

Hell Creek Ranch

More things to do in Hell---like paintball!!!!
Hell Creek Ranch

Hi Lou & Candie
We are sorry we did not make the party. Grace felt like she had the flu fri. nite and most of the day sat. I wanted to give her an I.V. but she vetoed that. Her surgery went well and she is doing good with the rehab and will be able to party in no time. The rally sounds good. I don,t care where we camp as long as we can have a good time.

Buck,
Glad to hear from you. We were wondering where you and Grace were last Saturday. Now we know. Glad to hear things (except the flu) are going well for Grace.

Let's talk RALLY!

So, as soon as I hear from John we will narrow it down to a limited number of campgrounds in a couple of different areas.
I have not checked out Hell Creek Ranch yet.
Although, the one campground that John mentioned down near the Ohio border does sound good.

I'll have the initial list up shortly...trying to do some added value processing. I've looked into Hell Creek and just tried to email them and their email bounced! I tell you...campgrounds do the worst marketing and PR of any business. Site map, pictures of all facilities and many campsites, directions, etc... should all be a given, but you'd be surprised how much of a sleuth you need to be, when you don't have Harold as your agent provocatuer!

BTW, is anyone here using Google Earth? I've been researching campgrounds using it and wanted to know if anyone else it.

I use Google Earth for directions, etc...
I have not used it to look up campgrounds though.
I am not sure if you saw the wallpaper on my laptop, John.... It is the opening shot of the Earth from Google Earth.

Yes, I remember it. Didn't realize it at the time. I can't attach the KMZ files, so I'll email them. If anyone else wants them for Pirolli Park or Hell Creek, email me.

LPPI 07 Initial Campground list

Here's the list that we came up with last Saturday. I have not edited it, so that we can discard whatever we think won't work. I have added Hell Creek. I'll post comments about several in subsequent posts today.

Hell Creek Ranch, Hell, MI
Pirolli Park, Petersburg, MI
Haas Lake, New Hudson, MI
Walnut Hills, Durand, MI
Greenwood Acres
Crystal Creek
Marble Springs Family Campground, Quincy, MI
Marble Lake, Quincy, MI
Columbia Creek

Harold, can you give us any information on the Marble Lake campground? I can find nothing of note online.

There has been suggestions to look to other regions. I'm currently thinking about the Tawas area. Anyone agree, disagree, have another suggestion?

Pirolli Park

Ok, here's an aerial view of Pirolli Park:

Their sites look to be wooded (that picture appears to be early spring), they are in a good, centralized location for our South of the border attendees, and have a nice lake to swim in. Close to Blissfield Antique malls and Lake Erie for fishing or boating, should you wish.
