This thread is only the 3rd one to get to 600+ replies. It got there in 143 days (4 months and 20 days). Unfortunately, it is only the 2nd fastest to get there. The "June 2004 Midwest Rally is Set!" thread narrowly beat it, getting to 600 replies in 139 days!

And of course the "A 63 for me! (many good ideas for your new to you Trailer)" thread is still the post leader, currently at 837 replies.

You know what?
All of you are the reason this thread has done so well. There sure is a lot of fellowship between all of us.
Thanks for the research, Joe. You are my hero!

Thanks Harold!
My Mom is truly a wonderful lady.
A little-known piece of "Lou trivia": I am a Junior. Named after my father. I am very proud of that fact. It was my Mom's idea to name me after my Dad.
My Dad passed away at the age of 58 when my Mom was 50 and still had three teenaged boys to finish raising. I tend to think she did pretty good.

My god are you an old fart already ?

Im so old that I must have had a senior moment and totaly forgot about your Birthday. I will just have to return the gift that I got you since it would be in bad tast to give it to you late.

So Happy belated birthday Mr President.

Hoe to see you at Otisville, I will be keeping a beer cold for you, so stop by the FU FU trailer.

Aw, you can give me a late present! It will be very special considering it is so late.
I am hoping to make it up to Otisville but it looks like I will be going on 2nd shift starting the Monday before the rally. That would mean I do not get out of work until 11 p.m. that Friday night!
I am going on 2nd because we are starting to build the new six speed auto FWD tranny on two shifts now. They need a controls engineer and it looks like I am it. That would mean that I am stuck on 2nd shift for an eternity. Oh well, it pays the bills!

Otisville report

Otisville was a great rally, 14 or 15 units on site, 3 motorhomes the rest trailers

Friday night we had Chile and cookies followed by a showing of "the Long Long trailer" under the stars around the campfire.

Saturday the weather could not have been better, we had a pumpkin carving contest, a nature hike, and of coruse a shopping trip to Walmart.
Happy hour was all day long.

Saturday dinner was very nice followed by our not so traditional Instalation cermoney.

Sunday again had perfect weather and resulted in a daylight campfire, followed by hooking up the trailers and heading home.

of coruse the entire rally had an empty feeling without LOU and Ralph.
but some how we managed to have a good time anyway

Luckily we have a lot of televisions in the plant! On game nights they are all tuned to the Fox Network!
Last night's game was AWESOME! Kenny Rogers ROCKS! (The pitcher, not the country music singer).
2nd shift is not so bad but I am now doing "5-12's", (12 hours/day, 5 days/week). Enough extra money to buy myself a used convertible for my newly-acquired mid-life crisis!

I wish we could have made it.
I would not have been able to make it up there until well past midnight on Friday.
Andy-Ihad two of your colleagues in the plant last week. Doug and Jeff worked on our little problem as you were driving back home. Was hoping to see you in the plant then!
