OK I am willing to risk the Kissing up award but

If Argosy's are so perfect then why the beige paint. ?????????????

I prefer the au naturall look of of a NUDE Airstream

I figure if I can't look good nude at least my trailer should.

Looking foward to seeing everyone at the Rally. Any takers on the caravan option yet???

I think that since we are the craziest two that people actually fear towing anywhere near us!

Perhaps no one thinks they can keep the pace between the nude and the Lou-ed.

Rally signs for your front window....

I was going to try to do just a template that all of you could ZAP your names into it but it is not going to work the way I want it to without doing it in PowerPoint or in Publisher.
Since I am not sure if all of you have PowerPoint or Publisher I will take your names directly.

Here is what we would like to know:
1. Names of all in your party. Please include your last name.
2. Year, make and model of your trailer or motorhome.

For those of you who are VP's in the LPPI, I will be sure to post your status on your signs as well!

I will post the PowerPoint and the Publisher version of the template on the thread tomorrow. This is if you would like to print it out yourself.
You can email me the information at: loupatterson@wowway.com

I would like to have all of the attendees do this. I have no problem printing out all of the signs.

Beth, I cannot keep my mouth shut! I gotta tell them!!!

I am ABSOLUTELY gonna pop!
Do you all remember the beanies that Beth, (aka WagonGirl), found on the 'net?
Well, earlier tonight Beth PM'd me and asked if she should go ahead and order some for the rally.
I told her it would be great! She ordered 48 beanies!
I know, I know. There are two reasons I should not be this excited about beanies!
Number one: We do not have them here yet.
Number two: They are beanies. That is disturbing itself.

Man, I will need to be sedated by next Thursday!

Beth should have the beanies available for a small fee to cover the cost of the beanies and the shipping. Whatever is left over I will buy up in case there becomes a worldwide shortage of beanies and I will have the market cornered!

Sorry, Beth. I had to tell them or I was gonna pop!

Let's all thank Beth for finding us our official answer to the beret!

John and I need this so we will have a somewhat accurate count of who is going to be there.
OK - I did it - Lorrie and I are not on the offcialy attendees list any longer - our spot is officially up for grabs, but we still think we will visit on Saturday. And who knows, if there is a spot left late next week, we may change our minds and pull the trailer down, although we'd probably have to have our heads examined.

Hey Beth,
Thanks so much for getting those beanies, glad you did it! Hope to buy 3 from you if they fit our big heads tee hee!

The sign thing sounds great Lou, I'll print ours here from the thread.

Happy Campers--nice idea about euchre and swap meet:
Is euchre still on? Hubby is from NC and so when he first learned how to play euchre up here in Michigan he made a remark about Yankees not 'playing with a full deck'--whaddaya spose he meant by that?
Seriously, it sounds like great fun!
Swap Meet:
We have some unused still wrapped spare parts and things:
refrigerator fan (little blue plastic one that needs a battery or two)
Odds and ends like Wally Byam hooks, etc. Not sure if there's any interest we'll bring the easiest to transport stuff and play it by ear.

Just looking forward to meeting everyone and hanging out!

Hmmm, we should do a run down of what everyone is bringing and then we can figure out the gaps. Can you still bring your grille? I'm thinking maybe sweet corn over the fire or grille. Corn's in season right now and we could go out to a stand or store that morning and get fresh picked. Nothing better than that during the summer.

First, just fresh and tasty will be fine!

Secondly, here's what we do: remove the first couple of layers of husks, but leave several, peel them back and get all of the silk out and smooth the husks back down. Soak in water for a while, sometimes we just hit it with the hose, and the put on the grille, turning every so often. You can eat anytime, we wait until it's golden brown sometimes, but as long as it's hot, today's sweet corn is tender enough to eat like this and very very delicious.

If all of the people that have registered show up and we expect an average of slightly over two per coach, plus several people have expressed an interest in stopping in for dinner (not just 66Overlanders, either, at least 3 different people of said this), I expect approximately 50 and add 10% so let's say 55 people???

What will you fry in the fryer?

John

Good question. I would shoot for about 1 per person, with about 10 to 20 more ears, so, not 110, but maybe 60 or so?

Any one else have a clue how to figure how many ears of corn?

Sorry, Beth. I had to tell them or I was gonna pop!

Lou, Lou, Lou, It was suppossed to be a silly suprise for all to have a good laugh at you donning the 1st official LPPI beanie. OH well we can still enjoy ourselves with them. NO Obligations for anyone to wear it (except if your an officer of course )!!
It's just for the the laugh of seeing grown men and women having a little sillyness. As Steph quotes " Just direct your feet to the sunny side of the street"
Steph, thanks for the thanks, don't know if it will fit my head either. Can't wait till 5pm next friday to get off work and on the road. Look forward to meeting everyone and seeing friends from last year.
