I still hope to, but time is sliping away quickly, along with the $$ to finish. If you like we can run to the ranch and check it out.

The polished Trade Wind would be nice to have. It is all original and in fantastic shape. I am sure I could have made a deal for less than asking! The problem is I do not have enough time to install the hitch on an Airbus before my departure .

Who's doing what on the 4th?
Kingfisher from Texas is coming our way, looking for a get together and a place to stop on his tour of Michigan. You all might want to offer some suggestions. Between us he should know the best places to visit and even possibly hook up (ha) with a few Michiganders.

If he does nothing else in Michigan he needs to spend time in Leelanau county, in the lower peninsula, and enjoy Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. There are two campground in the park and full hook up options around the park. And lots of other fantastic scenery and natural areas to explore in the county. I would be glad to make suggestions for him.
In the U.P. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a don't miss. But there is lots more up there too. Taquamanon Falls, Fayette Historic Townsite at Fayette State Park in the Garden Peninsula, Porcupine Mountains, the Keewenau peninsula. . . . .

Welcome to Michigan Kingfisher24. We reside in Traverse City, MI and would like to recommend the Holiday Park Campground here just outside of our city for your stay in the area if you cannot make reservations with campgrounds in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. This is a favorite campground for many Airstreamers and is only 40 minutes tops (25 miles) from the Sleeping Bear Dunes Park. It is a nice CG with full hookups. Their phone no. is 231-943-4410 in case you are interested. Traverse City is a fun place to visit and adjoins Leelanau County. You may want to spend a day or so around here. It is the home of the annual National Cherry Festival and the annual Film Festival if you are in the area when they take place in July. Also great farm market downtown on the bay Wed and Sat mornings.
