I was going to make a reservation through Reservamerica for Hillmans Ferry for the weekend of Mar 31 for 2 nights but found that only about 20 or so sites are reservable and none are on the water. I phoned Hillmans Ferry COE park (270-362-8230) and was told the water sites are on a first come first serve basis. I asked about expected availability the weekend of Mar 31 - Apr 2 and the man said it might start to get crowded around that weekend, depending on spring break with local schools. He also said our chances of getting a water site would be better arriving on Thursday instead of Friday.
We are going to arrive on Thur Mar 30 and stay for the weekend. Hopefully others will be able to join us and we'll get to meet during the weekend. If anyone is interested in meeting up and arriving together, let us know.

I unfortunately have a commitment on that Saturday/Sunday so camping is out. I could very well drive over to meet with you on Thursday or Friday however as it is only 45 minutes or so from my house.

That would be great. We'll be off the internet for a week starting tomorrow night. When we get back from Edisto we'll send an email with our cell phone # and you could give us a call when you're ready to come over to get our site number and set up a time. Maybe a little cookout could be possible. Keep us posted.
