Gerard and Laura, aka Gearheart, were on the Wyoming trip last year.

Good, kind, decent people....and excellent, very accomplished cooks.

Gerard also has some musical talents....

I assured them they would be made very welcome at our rally.

Fires allowed? DO cooking? Canadian beer is coming for sure. Elaborate on the "vocalization" schtick.

We like fires, and DO cooking abounds.

I never know what I'm going to make until time gets close, we know what the weather is going to be and what I feel like cooking.

We've had it hot enough to need AC, cool enough we've kept a fire going all day and into the evening.

If I get lucky and get one of those kickass yeti coolers for my bday I could probably talk my supplier into donating a case of their amazingly delicious grill burgers...

Just wanted to offer it up, we can see which way the crowd would like to go as we get closer.

I'm sure that burgers would be eaten.

How's that new baby?

FYI, Illinois prohibits the consumption of alcohol in their state parks. Keep your drinks under cover when partaking.

Typically a non issue, but yes they are prohibited. But so are most of our other freedoms here in the great state of illinois.

The baby is well and will be crazy active when we see you all, thanks for aking.

If your supplier doesn't come through I think we ALL would contribute for gourmet burgers. I had even thought of asking the store in town for a SPECIAL deal. As an alternate or addition, brat patties.
We will need grills , I have a Weber 1200, good for 6 at a time.

I only mention it because one year the campground host came to me and noted that he saw some of our group drinking. I think it was wine. He was nice enough to at least give me a heads up. He said the next visit would be from the ranger issuing tickets if he saw it again. Just use discretion if you wish to partake.

We will have our grill as well, we will get the job done. I have been told burgers are on the house! Maybe as we get closer we can gather up the buns and condiments.

Thankyou Gordons Food Service!

Two more months and we will be hanging out with all you great folks. We can't be ready enough, we missed our opportunity to pack up and head out for spring break, aaaaaa. Maybe another year... Boat prep is winding down and getting ready to pull out the camper for a few local camps if anyone watching is interest.
Give a shout.

Cale

We too are also anxious for the camping season. On our trip to Texas, the hitch jack broke. I replaced it and when we left the NEW jack broke. I am now awaiting the replacement. Had to hand crank to use.
For those that did not hear; Jerry and Pam Baker's trailer was totaled after the hail storm. Roger and Alice are awaiting the verdict from the adjuster on their trailer and their truck now has a "hammer tone " finish.
Dana and I camped in Alice and Roger's drive on our way back from Texas. We got to see the damage done in that area after the hail storm; BAD.

Have not had time to turn in the trailer claim yet. I did order new roof vent covers since the old ones were smashed to bits. We were thinking of getting a new AC unit anyway so that's probably next. Truck damage is 6150.00. You'll probably all get so see it since we aren't planning on fixing it till July. They need about 10 days and we're not missing any camping on account of a dinged up truck.

Count down: 2 months till the rally. There are 3 sites still available in the "loop"; F-6 and P 13 and 22.
The weather is warming and getting " that camping fever"
