Bummer Steve. There were still no sites when I looked yesterday and the nearest Walmart is about 20 miles away. At least you got to go to the Wilds. Too bad you'll miss seeing my latest embroidery logo. It's VERY cool!

Prize Preview

I am ready to fire up the embroidery machine and crank out a few t shirts. Have a few other prizes ready as well.
We went to Cabella's on saturday and Roger finally got his dutch oven. Now he is a kid with a new toy. Looks like we are going to copy the dutch oven rally. Can't wait for the weekend!

The entire trailer (including the AC) is leaning forward rolling after the turkey. It only appears to be backwards.

Well I'm here already. Had planned on staying up the road at Shades SP a couple of nights but discovered when I got there that they have no electric hookups. Came over to Turkey Run and fortunately 193 was open for the next couple of nights so here I am. Not many people here at the moment but they have a full house for the weekend.

Alan I had a feeling that you would get there first. We are still hoping to get there tomorrow afternoon, but possibly may have to wait til thursday morning to make sure Laura is over her bug. She still has a slight fever, but is planning to go to work tonight. We'll just have to wait and see.

We have driven by Shades and always say we are going there to try out their trails but somehow we never seem to make it there.

For those of you that will be traveling from I-74 down 231 South, please be very careful as there is construction on 231 at Crawfordsville, the road is very narrow and no shoulder. I saw a Brinks truck wreck today on my lunch hour when he got one wheel off the edge and flipped. Please be cautious as you travel this road, there is very little room for mistakes. Be safe in your travels.

Well mcair arrived safely and has now gone out to get something to eat. Guess when they get back the rally can officially begin.

All systems GO... heading out @ 4:30 thursday, in Avon for the night, be there around noon or so Friday.

Just checked the reservation system and it shows 10 open sites in the park if any one else wants to join in.

A BIG thank you to the mcair's for a somewhat soggy but very enjoyable rally. Despite a fair amount of rain everyone seemed to have a great time and we got some good hiking in - and lots of fantastic food. Turkey Run is a neat park and has lots of features that you don't expect in IN. Lots of pics were taken and I'm sure they'll be posted later. Took 6 hours to get back to Jackson Center - got detoured off of three IN roads that are closed due to construction - 18/26/218. Wandered all over the place before I finally got into OH. Again - thanks for a great time.

I'm glad to hear all had a great time. We were bummed about missing it, but we'll make it next time (Fingers crossed). I am sure Tinloaf is hard at work on his website for pics as long as he didn't hit a guinea hen on the way home.

The web gallery is up.

I second the thanks to Roger & Alice for picking such a nice park for a rally. The scenery was simply stunning. I asked myself several times if I was really in the midwest. It was great to meet so many new people - one of the greatest benefits of the Airstream community.

I started an online photo gallery. You guys will need to help me out because I only have about 20 good shots. The rest were kind of blurry because of the low light in the canyons. There's an upload button at the top of the gallery page for those who have photos you'd like to share.

Thanks everyone for coming to our wet party! We loved meeting Mike & Erin and family and Jill & Lee.

We are chillin' at home with Imo's. Not as good as all the dutch oven stuff, but it was delivered! Will add to the gallery after I get motivated to go look for the camera. Trailer is a big mess with all of the leaves and pine needles, but will deal with that tomorrow.

Thanks to Roger and Alice for a great rally. It was great to meet every one and thanks for making my first Rally experience a great one. I hope to meet all of you again soon. I will try to get my pictures loaded up to Steves gallery tomorrow.
