Anyones friends are welcome. especially if they bring food! That is what we love about airforums. We went to 2 rallies before we bought our Airstream and were never made to feel out of place.

How is everyone? It's been awhile since there was much activity here. Of course it is summer and we are all busy with other things. I am ready for this heat to be gone and late Sept. to be here. Early fall at Turkey Run is some of the best weather there is! I think we will get a few more people eventually. I have heard from a couple who are still waiting to find out work schedules and school related activities. School band and sport schedules are not ususally known until school actually starts. I am really happy now that we are no longer slaves to the school schedule.

I just checked the reservation system and the park is starting to fill up. There are still a dozen sites available in our little area. The park is not holding sites for us, so if you're interested you should make a reservation soon. The park will fill up quickly when people start thinking about fall camping.

Turkey Run is in a good, central location three hours south of Chicago, two hours east of Bloomington, two hours west of Indianapolis, three hours north of Louisville, and three hours east of St. Louis. We should be able to get at least 20 trailers, but we need to act soon!

Thanks for reminding everyone Steve. I tried to look at the site yesterday, but it was having problems. This is a very popular park and it does fill on weekends.

About 6 weeks to go! yeah. We've been so busy I have not thought much about this trip. We just got home from vacation and have 2 other rallies before this one. And now we have a few issues to fix on the AS that we found on the trip. Plus things to take care of at home that we have been ignoring (like the lawn mower that just died). It never ends!

It's probably time to start thinking about potluck dishes. I'll talk to the hubby and see what he wants to make. We will also have cake for the birthday girl if she is with us. She found a job recently and will be back at college by this time, but she is still determined to make this rally. The girl loves Turkey Run and has not been there since she was about 12.

Just looked at the website again. There are only 7 spots left on our side of Turkey Hollow and 3 on the other side of the ravine (they are not far from us if anyone winds up there). Every site at this park is reservable and it will fill up or be close to it in the next couple of weeks, so if you are coming book your site ASAP.
Bring extra power cords if you have them, some of you will need them. We have one or 2 extra to lend if necessary.

There is now only 1 spot left in our loop (189). There are more available still in other parts of the campground. Only 1 new person has rsvp'd so I have no idea how many of those open spots were taken by Airstreams. One month to go, can't wait to see everyone!

If Steve B & family(soldiermedic) make it, Collin(5) will be there. Some of the names on the list are new to me so maybe they will have kids. My girls are 16 and 21. Both are supposed to be there, but they have bailed on us before, so I'm never sure until they get in the truck! The older one has college and a job to work around. My 16 year old is home schooled so she has no reason not to come, but sometimes likes to stay here with sis without parents.

Turkey Run is big and has a few playgrounds. Everytime we've been there the playgrounds have been full so there will be opportunity to meet kids there if we don't have any in the group. And Steve M (tinloaf) will have his big furry kid with him.

He have not been able to commit to this yet. Do we know if there is still a spot?

Steve, earlier today 189 was still available. You can always cancel if you have to. There were still some spots in other areas of the campground, but they are going fast. Both times we were there last year the place filled up.

How is everyone? It is now a little over 2 weeks and counting. I checked reservations again today and everything is full for Saturday and just 5 sites were left on Friday. They do occasionally have cancellations so if you still want a spot, one may come up.

we are arriving on Wed afternoon so we plenty of time to enjoy the park and also meet up with Roger's cousins in Danville. When is everyone else arriving?

At this point we will be there friday eve. around 8 unless we decide to take Megan out of school early that day. Then we could maybe make 5:00 work. It is going to be a last minute thing, but we will be there.

Pot luck is Saturday night so everyone has time to cook after they have relaxed! I hope the weather is good all weekend, but we will be bringing our 10x10 just in case we need rain shelter. Cousins are planning to come see us on thurs so we will have a busy weekend.

I will be arriving 5-6ish on Friday depending if I get left from work early. We have been having really nice weather during the days with some cool evenings. Bring a sweatshirt with you.
