This sounds like a fun thing. Like to attend, as we should be returning from Tucson about the middle of October; I voted for the last one.
No comittment implied, just an opinion.
It would be great to have some company while we are at the Canal Campground. Brown's Point is pretty unique.
The bathrooms ar REALLY close in that loop too. They are also VERY clean and the showers are REALLY roomy with a huge private area for dressing/undressing.
Also, Grand Rivers is about one mile away. I am not sure if anyone has ever heard of Patti's 1880's Settlement. It is a huge attraction and the best, (and biggest), pork chops around! Here is a link for area attractions in Grand Rivers. http://www.grandrivers.com
Tons of fun down there!
I (we) would prefer the full hook-ups at Canal as we do not have a grey water tank and I spent three years working on towboats (note to pattersontoo: tugs work in the ocean, towboats work on the rivers; tugboats pull, towboats push).
Count us in for Canal.

LBL in September sounds like a winner. Cannot commit at this date but put me on the possible list. I might add that I am in the catering business and could bring equiptment to put on a fish fry or fried chicken feed. Any group up to 5000 is in our area of expertise.

Now I am confused. Am I tugging my trailer or towing it?
Either way, it is still REALLY cool to sit at my campsite and watch the towboats go by!
I will only be able to make it down there the weekend of October 13th. I would be coming in around the 9th or 10th. I would be leaving out REALLY early on Oct. 15th. It is a good 10-12 hour drive home for me, so the sooner I get on the road the better.

we are here on earth to fart around. don't let anybody tell you any different. k.v.
The voting is so close there is no clear leader although Sept. has the current lead it is not by much. Two more campers voting for another date would tie it up.

Looks like this is dying on the vine.
Well, I am going to be making my reservations at Canal Campground for the week before the October 15th date. I will be camping in the Brown's Point Loop, right on the lake near the shipping channel.
