...We can hook the manual ice cream cranks up to the gears of Silvertwinkie's tongue jack and my kids can stand there and move the switch back and forth -- after all, his is under warranty...

...and they will probably do that anyway, up and down and up and down and up and ..., under Tracy's influence...

Ice cream

I wonder, can 'Mudslide' be turned into an adult flavored icecream???? I have my mom n dad's old electric ice cream maker too....if you feel we might need a fourth....

I am really not understanding the movie thing.....how does that work, for that many people, and what is the significance of Animal House anyway????

Just curious....

I'm distracted tonight, decided to polish some more......arms....very....tired....

Oh my...you haven't looked at last year's forum archives. Check out post #5 from this rally thread last year. It all started here.......

http://www.airforums.com/forum...=midwest+rally

From the movie standpoint, one of the attendees from the St. Louis area volunteered an LCD projector and a screen. I have a portable DVD player so we should be able to do ok.

I'll have to rent it....

Never saw it. I'll have to rent it, so I'm not on the 'out'.

Actually, has anyone ever seen 'Sordid Lives - A black comedy about white trash' ???? That is truly a more fitting movie to watch, I've seen it at least twenty times.....Slow at first, but it picks up. The second time is even funnier. We have a white trash party every year, and pull the TV in the yard and watch it.....

OH, sorry, back to Animal House...Is that an Early 80's thing????

Re: Mackinaw Rally in July:

Is it open to all Forum members or just a "Local" thing?

That will be 2 SOB's. But I will try to cover up mine.
This is evolving into some gathering . We are running on a budget at this end, but I like the idea of a progressive dinner, split into progressive groups. Kind of a lottery of which circuit you run. That way you wind up with different people at each course. Just some thoughts as asked.....
I just realized that this trip will cost me around $45.00 in gas one way.

You had to bring that up! I was just starting to forget how much it cost me just to go about 50 miles away last weekend and back.

Oh well, it's not like the Toyota Prius or Brandi's Honda Civic is gonna to the Safari Monster and even if they could, those 50+MPG ratings would be pretty much toast (if the Safari didn't rip them in half first)!

If we can get the tables, great. If not, it might be more difficult to get multiple areas setup for food and have folks walking around to get to the next course. I too would think that the open house and the food gatherings would be seperate... just my .02

I'm with Eric on that one...

Don't know that we want people walking through the A/S's with food in hand on floppy paper plates.....

And may I remind everyone, next year this time, you will all be able to look back on the memories of this years rally. The fun times you had, the people you met, the new friends you made. The last thing that will be on your mind is, the extra $10 or $20 you had to spend on gas.

Money is tight for us too, but the memories will far outweigh the gas prices.

With that said, YOU ALL BETTER MAKE THIS RALLY FUN!!!!!....LOL

Look forward to it,
Ron

To me, the price of gas is like the price of toilet paper or grapefruit juice or the occasional airplane ticket to Paris. You need it, it's available, so why even look at what it costs? I honestly couldn't quote you the price on any of them but buy them without fail.

Tell you what, since I'll have been towing that dang Bambi for 2 or 3 days, I'm figuring Moraine View will be my first BW dump. I'll pay the gas tab for whoever volunteers to help me with it. I'll be sure to pick up a pair of those stupid strappy Paris Hilton sandals to stand around looking all useless in.

And while we're at it, I have to get this off my chest but I am NOT keeping that Paris/Airstream thread on life support: OK, I still think she's homely, but Paris at least looks like she knows how to walk around in a pair of heels, but that Nicole gal, is she the most awkward human on the planet or what? Unless there's some sort of biological attraction on the part of males to a prone, sprained, dazed female ("Hey look! She fell down & can't get away from me!"), I think a woman teetering around or even standing precariously in heels that she can't handle is something from which we should avert our eyes.

Not to divert the topic from togas or anything.
