We're in...

I've got the application ready to mail tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Tin Can Luv... take advantage of Jack and Zamboni and find a parking lot to play some afternoon. You'll be oh-so-glad you did. Nothing builds confidence like success, and after an hour of backing, three-point turns, and learning to maneuver your A/S in a parking lot, your trip will be MUCH less stressful.

We've got a 34' tri-axle, and as Eric can attest from our trip to Indiana Dunes last year, it's pretty amazing where you can get them into, and how little fuss it really takes.

See you all at Moraine View!

Roger

OK, so, since I have zero experience backing my baby up, and I don't know if I will have any prior to June, (although I better get our first outing in before June) Is someone going to park us like they did in the Long Long Trailer, or do I risk runnin into a neighbor??

I got into that experience once before. I actually hit a tree with my van during that episode. Too much help!

I learned to backup by going to a store parking lot after hours with a couple of tall plastic trash cans and some brooms placed in them. I did a lot of backing and soon learned how to do it right. The plastic trash cans bounce pretty well.

You will get lots of help though. Nothing to be afraid of. The biggest mistake most folks make in backing up is not pulling forward enough of the spot, leaving too little space to pivot the trailer.

Moriane is pretty good as far as back in sites go, you should find this one a piece of cake.

Our reservation form hits the mail tomorrow, so based on the responses so far I expect the folks at Moraine will be busy. Remember to post your spot so I can keep track of who will be where.

Jack

Talking Sent off reservation today!

Excitedly sent off my form today, with a whopping check of $16. But I noticed on the bottom, Alcohol prohibited....that's a joke right?

Just kidding, I'm sure the entire experience will be intoxicating in itself!

See you all there!

June 2004 Midwest Rally is Set!

Greetings Jack!

Just received my reservation confirmation from Moraine View State Park. I have been assigned to spot P45. For some reason that number sounds familiar - - I think it is the same spot that I had last year.

Will be looking forward to seeing everyone at the Rally!

Kevin

Toga fashion...

Ok, Jack... it appears this year that you must be the Toga Master; handed down from Eric last year?

So, Mr. Toga Master, how about a lesson in Toga ettiquette? Are there colors that are more fashionable or appropriate? If a Toga is appropriate dinner attire; does one wear a bow-tie with his Toga to dinner? Since this is an alcohol-free zone, how does one conceal his alcohol in a Toga... You know, that sort of stuff...

Our reservation form went in the mail yesterday... I'll let you know what space we get!

I plead not guilty. Unknown to the Twink, I secretly recorded certain events from last years rally.

Things were sort of slow at first. After we all pulled in a few of us spent a few minutes with Silvertwinkie discussing what we would do that night. You can clearly hear his voice rising above the others!

www.acmewebpages.com/midi/togaparty.wav

I had certain concerns and felt this was really going to be an orgy. Twink responded.

www.acmewebpages.com/midi/party.wav

He then went on and tried to convince me that there was something religious about this meeting.

www.acmewebpages.com/midi/religous.wav

I tried to reason with the Twink regarding his plans.

www.acmewebpages.com/midi/respect.wav

I told him that he would take us all down.

www.acmewebpages.com/midi/shame.wav

At that point he got extremely agitated which seemed to stir the rest of the male Airstreamers.

www.acmewebpages.com/midi/togatoga.wav

As it ended the park rangers broke up party with Twinkie being charged for various acts. His hearing in the local court was sobering.

www.acmewebpages.com/midi/profound.wav

After being given probation, Twink was sent back to his trailer. As he stumbled into the door, he was greeting by Brandi and her friends.

As Sunday morning came about, we found that Twink really wasn't on probation.

So you see Roger, the facts don't lie. Eric is making you think I'm behind this. I was the voice of reason. I rest my case with the last words I spoke to Eric on the way out....

Jack, you make a strong case in your defense. Your evidence seems incontrovertable. Was this evidence obtained either with the consent of the subjects recorded, or was a search warrant obtained for this evidence? As it appears that none of these recordings were made in public places, if this evidence was obtained without consent and absent a warrant, I'm afraid I will have to instruct the jury that it is inadmissible, and to disregard it.

The question, however, remains: Will this decadent practice continue into this year?

Eric, you may begin your re-direct...

Unfortunately Eric wasn't in a state to understand that I was carrying a recording device. As back up I took this picture of Eric in case the audio evidence wasn't strong enough. Your honor, I rest my case.

You guys are too much. from what I get from this conversation, I need to bring a shroud for my alcohol, and a toga just in case, in every color. A tape recorder and camcorder and camera, to get the facts strait, and have my lawyer draw up paperwork allowing such devices to record the events.

Did I get everything?

Grand Jury to be convened...

In Toga case...

After hearing evidence presented by both sides, it is apparent that evidence tampering, and attempts at jury tampering have no doubt taken place. I believe that both parties in this case have undoubtedly committed wrongdoing in this regard. I believe that given the current circumstances, it would be inappropriate for this court to render judgement.

This court is in recess.

I propose that a Grand Jury be convened at Moraine View on the evening of June 11 to examine evidence regarding an apparent on-going conspiracy to commit Toga partying.

I recommend that all jurors in attendance bring video cams, audio recorders, and still digital cameras to record not only the proceedings, but evidence of what will undoubtedly turn out to be this on-going conspiracy.

Jurors, please check in with the bailiff, Mr. Canavara (also, no-doubt, a currently un-indicted co-conspirator) regarding your trailer parking arrangements on that date. Be prepared to sit in judgement of the evidence, and to hand down an indictment if the evidence so warrants!

Roger
