Food
I'm planning to bring Cougar cheese, crackers, and wine for Fri night, since I'll probably be getting there around dinner time and won't have time to cook. I'm up for whatever theme we have for Saturday, though (was thinking of a roast since we have electricity). Also, would be willing to bring lots of eggs (I have a fridge full) to share for breakfast one day.

Food
Well, a roast will feed lots of people and has all the fixings. It does require a crock pot and takes all day on a slow cook setting. We've also done BYOM on a grill and then everyone bring a side to share. I would vote for that.
The roast might work better on Saturday nite.
I was saddened to hear Don and Claudia won't be coming.... But they're planning to be at Area 33.
I guess that opens up a spot. Do Jerry and Patsy still want to come ?

The 4 Corners Unit always has a "no plan" dinner schedule and everything seems to work out. I just don't want to have 6 salads to eat for the main course or 5 pies for desert. I know no one ever goes home hungry from these. A theme for Friday and Saturday night would help get things started. Maybe a Chili feed one night, then Mexican another night. You will have to chime in with your suggestions. We could bring beer cheese soup in our crock pot. Someone else will have to carry it back to our trailer cuz I've had some problems in the past!!
We're bringing "Ziggy" our Boston Terrier for his second camping season! He's gonna have fun!

Will do a pot of chili for Friday and a rosemary roasted potatoes to go with the beast and coconut cupcakes on Sat?

That is awesome fine with me, because you know I am too laid back to bother to 'plan' anything. I really need to look at a map sometime this week and figure out where I'm going

Has anyone driven out there from the westside? Got advice on routes? I was thinking 84 to 97 to 206? I was considering 26 but I wasn't sure about the Government Camp section.

Hi Steph, I am taking US 26 all the way over. It is the most direct route from here. The route you are talking about will take longer but is more scenic.
Wow. Looks like the meals are covered. We could feed the whole town. lol. I will see what I can come up with. Do we need anything ?
Right now the plan is to be there sometime during the night. 11ish aka known as Mark style.

Sorry to miss you all, we were there on the 11th and it was freezing overnight! The way we've always come back is out 26 past Dayville,up 19 to Condon, over 206 to Wasco and down to Biggs on the Columbia. Very pretty cruise, one pass, one summit, neither daunting. Fuel is cheap(er) in Biggs. Enjoy!
