Yes, but I think they were most well known for their contribution to Charles' "Hit the Road Jack", which was introduced on that same tour.

Three women here on the Olympic Peninsula own and operate a winery. Rosé the Riveter is one of their featured favorites. These ladies are wild & crazy & very successful. I'll suggest they consider a company A/S.

Rivet Wild & Crazy????

I LOVE THAT IN A WOMAN!!! Occasional baudiness isn't out of my realm of possibilities either!!

I like Georgia's "Airesses" too. Can you just see the wine glasses and TIARIAS around the campfire? OMG ...can you just see TIARIAS at the dump station???!!!

I should have looked better ... can those trailer earrings be fashioned into pins (or a tiny, tiny broache if you prefer) they're so cute.

Also, has anyone thought of Michigan as a destination? There are some great places on the Lake MI. coastline. Dunes, quaint (tourist) shops, wine, Great Lakes fishing. The "Tip 'O The Mitt" is absolutely wonderful but, sadly, quite a drive from both northern and southern borders.

I'd take a big gulp, but if my daughter could travel along, I'd go to Michigan. Loved the Traverse City/peninsula area when we visited last year. Gorgeous, and cold.

Great wine label. I like the name "Airesses" too.

So how do we get started? Divide into chapters by geographic area? Maybe plan some shorter local trips and then try for one big rally for all somewhere in the middle?

Also I'll be at the NorCal rally this weekend at Lake San Antonio, CA this weekend (October 20th). Anyone else planning to be there???

This reminds me of the early '90s, when downtown Chicago was a little rougher than it is now, and my friend Cristi & I would be walking home from work around 11 p.m., all bundled up for the cold ... and we'd get cruised! She thought we needed to write a book called "Hookers Do Not Wear Earmuffs!"

Maybe tiaras would have done the trick ....

I hope I don't get snapped for this. My mother would have said (and did) "royal hine-ass" ! I hadn't remembered that one - thanks for sparking the memory!!

Wheel, you're in the thumb and we're in the middle of the mitt near Clare. We could tiara shop together!! I'm getting to like that tiara idea Oh girlfriends, this is gonna be fun ...and we don't even know where we're going yet!

IMHO it would seem dividing into regions would be the better way to go for starts. Although my heart-of-hearts would like to meet all of you (group hug).

tin sista - MI

Steph, I forgot you are also in MI. Well, there we go. A MI unit could be in the works as we type. Where are you located? - or your general location if you prefer.

LOVE the earrings!

I have an idea, something along the lines of an Airesse (or whatever we will be calling ourselves) sighting thread. Whenever we meet, we update the thread with pictures and a descriptive post to let all of us follow along. I say that because I just hate missing anything and if you are meeting, well we can meet you too (virtually!)

Hmmm, now you have me thinking about getting better acquainted with one another even sooner. We can start an intro thread with a picture and short bio of sorts.

Sue we better get our royal hineasses shopping to be the first on our block wearing our tiarias. Michelle already has her Rosie shirt and Steph has the earrings. I got a bandana though.
