A/S Image

I like the idea of incorporating an A/S image also, butt (< not an error) ........ "the" people in J C, OH take exception to use of the product image we know and love so well. Never mind what airstreamforums.com has accomplished in so short a time to favor that product.
OUCH !!! I just fell off the soap box ! (Sorry, but I doubt we would have an A/S if it weren't for a/sforums.com)

Anyhoo, I'm glad things are beginning to take shape. A cool name is a must though, don't you think? WE CAN DO IT! and if we have to go underground (see above) we could wear rivets fashioned into earrings as a secret sign. (shhhh) < stealth mode
Oh, and could/should we start a list of name ideas to refer to and inspire??

Happy Camping,
suz - being a little silly @ this late hour

There is a big lake less than 40 miles east, and the area has lots of trout streams, especially the New River. There are also several wineries within an hour's drive.

I stayed there with my sister for a week. We spent much time seeing the local sights, but if I were by myself I might have just lolled around the campground. It is pristine - even magical. Several mature apple trees grow in the meadow, and you're welcome to pick anything the deer can't reach.

Oops, I forgot about that. Still, the Rosie image alone would be a good one for us. I'm sure we can figure someway to use it, with some extra wording or something, that wouldn't get anyone's dander up.

Foiled Again -- Virginia Highlands sounds like a great spot for a spring gathering. Looks like they open May 1.

That licensing thing could be tricky, I wish we could figure a way to slip some trailers in there...Also, maybe we can see try Suz' late night inspiration---perhaps a woman's rally photoshop whiz can put some Airstream earrings on Rosie?

The Airesses: We Can Do It! With little Airstreams dangling as Rosie's earrings. (That's for "girlie") Maybe a rivet gun in Rosie's hand. (That's for the "can do") Put it all together--I like itOr another idea for a name: call ourselves the Rosies-latch fully onto the war time slogan. After all, she was a riveter!

I have a tee shirt with that on it. Being a female Aircraft mechanic is has a lot of meanign to me.

How about the picture With the caption "Doe Tow 06" or 07 when ever we get to organizing.
I would love to see an Airstream in there. Can we get permission?

Good thinking Suz. That's a good catch. Never too early to be looking out for our PR and copyrightness. Michelle I think the problem is time and legaleese for permissions. Can you and Donna doe tow to Virginia?

Georgia, 'Airesses, ha-ha, yup we must be heiresses, to have Airstreams!

I want a Rosie shirt and the earrings photoshopped sounds cool. We need earrings too. Did I say Airstream? I meant those "other" silver rounded trailers, besides my eyes aren't good enough to read the badging on Rosie's earrings. A stylized Airessdream perhaps?

How about The Rivette(s) Gazette for a newsletter?

Paula your magical pristine place sounds divine! Jamie maybe some of us can join up along the way. I know Vickie (Mrs. Towdaddy) is anxious to be going on a woman's rally and she is in Michigan also.

I forgot to say I have never done a wine tasting, some of us could do the tour and then bring back samplings for the crew back at the ranch and have apts and try new wines.

Weither or not I can come back to VA will depend on when the gathering occurs. I might be back there in December. If it is next May, not likely. Fire season will be starting again.
I am taking December off and travelling. I am thinking about a swing through OR and CA then east through AZ, NM, TX, LA, MS, AL, then into Florida for Christmas at my sisters.

Yeah, stylized, that's the ticket!

I'm down for wine tasting. I collect the tasting glasses from the wineries I visit. They remind me of where I've visited, they're the size I like, and they're usually cheap and since I break 'em like crazy I don't have to worry about breaking up a set of expensive glasses.

For Your Consideration: Perhaps for Rosie and the Rosies Silver trailer earrings ?? Still looking for rivet earrings...
I've had these for a few years, they do tarnish but a little bit of baking soda, like 1 tsp in a papertowel with a little water takes it right off! Much easier than polishing the big silver trailers!!
I love all the fun ideas swirling around here!!
Wine tasting sounds fun!!
