Wow Michelle, hope you are feeling better! Great photos!!

Question, is that one with the wicker chairs surrounded by lavender bushes? That would be such a great place to sit, can you imagine each time the wind came through the lovely smell of lavender? Wow its gorgeous...I think the number was DSCN 1924 from the western women's rally gorup.

How fun! Was that a centerfold of Fess Parker?? Well what else for women pioneering the way. That breakfast looked scrumptous.

Yeah that was Fess Parker. The second stop on the wine tour was his winery. I was the designated driver.

I am feeling much better. I actually went to work today.

Yes that was Lavender. A whole field of it. On our way back from Solvang (tourist trap). We stopped by and took in the smells. I bought four packets and scatted them around my trailer. Smells great now! Evie went nuts and bought a sachet (sp?) for everyone. Your going to just have to come next year. I have one other commitment in March of next year. Just can't remember the exact dates. I will know soon.

And I'd just like to add that those lavender sachets have been just the ticket for ridding the trailer of sundry odors. (And of course there's nothing worse than the smell of a sundry...)
Lavender grows fairly easily in these parts (hot sun, good drainage, mild winters) and when I cut it back, I scatter the blossoms and stems in various pest-tempting areas around the house. Although we love the fragrance, the strong oils seem to repel mice and miscellaneous critters, including racoons.

Janet
Glad you're feeling better, Michelle!

Wow that lavender sounds great for the trailer, hadn't thought to try it there.

Hi Carol.

I may be interested in Burning Man. I'm going to the Casini Rally in a week or so and there will be a couple of people there that have been and are probably going again. I'll talk to them about it.

I'll read up on the Burning Man thread and why don't you PM me with your thoughts. Are you going for sure? Will you take your new Airstream? Have you read all the info on the Burning Man web site? Very interesting!

Cheers,
Laurel

Just got the book Airstream Living by Bruce Littlefield and Simon Brown. I did not know Kristiana had an entire article and pictures of her 1967 Tradewind in it, (pgs 48-53.) Very cool Kristiana! A beautiful interior and a wonderful story about you. I enjoyed it immensely. What a gifted artisit you are!

Carol,

You're a sweet pea! Thanks so much for the kind words!
I really enjoyed being a part of that project.

I love that book. Simon Brown and Bruce Littlefield are both super fun & talented guys.
We need a sequel book to add all of the amazing interiors I've seen at rally open houses.
The book would have to be jumbo sized!

~K.
