Al - double check with the park directly [not reserveamerica] but my memory of that section is there is plenty of room for a much longer unit. Most of the sites in loop 3 are surely sized for 40' or more as there is very little vegetation between sites to limit positioning. Maybe you misread 45 as 25.

Any possibility I can fit or should I just cancel? I'll call the park tomorrow.

I misquoted our site. It is 82. I was looking at the right site when I checked the length, however.

Thanks Dave. I'll call in the morning.

Al, also keep in mind if it is 25' and you call in telling them your rig is 30' they might not let you utilize it. Make sure you only confirm the size of site and don't mention your camper size. You would still have enough room.

Just a quick note to everyone.

Due to the ongoing renovations there is still limited space. If anyone has to cancel their reservation for any reason please contact Julie or myself. We have a few people on a waiting list for a spot. Thanks guys! Hope you all are having a great time camping this spring!

I called before I read this, but it didn't seem to matter. The person I talked to just said she could not guarantee I could get a 30 into the site, but I was welcome to try. She directed me to www.campsitephotos.com - a really neat site. You select public or private campgrounds, list the state, pick the park, and scroll through the thumbnails to find the site you are interested in. It looks like the site may be long enough, but its a tricky backing job due to trees on either side. The photo is taken perpendicular to the road, but the site goes in at an angle according to the map. I do think it is long enough. If anyone happens to go there between now and November I'd appreciate an opinion as to whether a 30 slide (31'+ long) will fit into site 82.

Also at her suggestion I put in a request on reserveamerica for a notification if something becomes available. She indicated that if a site were available she would move me but today, none were.

I'll hang in for a while....

Al

Al, we stayed on that loop just 2 weeks ago, and I remember buses in sites 82 and 83. You should have no problem. (Believe it or not, we were squeezed into tent-only site 73 next to the boardwalk due to a booking error. Even though it was tent-only, they encouraged us to try to squeeze in and we did.) Joe

Thanks Joe. If I am looking at the site properly, it looks long enough but the back-in looks interesting, between two trees. Based on your memory, I'll probably just show up and hope for the best.

site 82

We have been in that site when we had a 30' trailer. Not a problem. Just got lined up at the same angle as the site for a straight back in, watch the trees. Only took a couple minutes. We have been in lots of sites that make this one look easy. Good location near beach.

Waiting list

We signed up for the waiting list, and got site 11 a few weeks ago. Just saw some pictures of more campground flooding.
