Just a friendly reminder. This park has very friendly wildlife. Deer will walk up to you here. Pack away all food and trash. The raccoons at the park are very cleaver and can open coolers.

Thank you all for letting look and lurk and ask a million questions. We had a very good time and wished we had put our tent in the car so that we could hang out a little longer.

We hope to see you when we hit the road as full-timers in a couple of years.

Happy Trails!

Page and Bob.

A great time was had by all!

We'll definitely consider returning next year. The weekend proposed above is fine for us. Thanksgiving week and/or weekend would also work for us.

Here are a few pictures Danielle snapped yesterday - doing what we do best... Trailers, food and music

Ditto - ditto on all accounts. Music and fellowship - top notch!

Once on site, there was no wondering why David and Julie envisioned a rally here for years; the place is awesome and only needed people with an aluminum fetish to fulfill the vision.

We vote for mid/late November, but T-day weekend is a possibility too to accommodate those farther away.

Note: For those who like to wait, reservations in December is a must! The ranger said that November is the height of the shrimp hauling season locally and also the most popular camping month.

Thanks to all who stopped to pat the ponies. They missed you Sunday :-)

Just an FYI - checked the calendar and Friday through Sunday is November 14-16, 2014

Those dates look good for Kayakampers now, so we'll 'pencil it in' until we hear otherwise. I am shooting for a waterfront site!!!

I will second, third and 4th everyone's comments including my husbands that this was a GREAT weekend and it is what it is all about!
Thanks for everything,
Beth

Hooray! November 2014 it is! I'm thinking bout making my notorious Jambalaya for the Pot luck. You all sure can make a old guy feel younger. I didn't even get a chance to tell any of my "This is no Sh--" stories. Poor Glenda hears them over and over -. Maybe we can include a swap meet so I can unload some junk! David and Julie, thank you sooo much - big job well done. What a great group of young ones.
