ok, now that we are home from Spring Break trip I can start thinking about Easter....
Are there any rules on the bonnet decorating that I need to be aware of before beginning, such as, do we need to be able to actually wear it???? Is there a theme which we are working toward??? My competitive nature is beginning to show...ugh, tried to hide it, but...
Which meals are we doing as potlucks? I will bring a big fruit salad to one of them....(I will be eating a LOT of coconut cream pie from the bowling ally, so need to think healthy for potlucks....sorry Chuckie)
What else can we bring to help out with the "extras" that are planned?

Please add my Mom---Gail for a shirt. John, just ask Kay what size she thinks you should order for her-----I assume if they have Lady's sizes a "L" and if they only have men sizes a "M". I also noted on the order that some women had requested a "Pink" shirt. If you can indeed get "pink" instead of "white", please order Gail a "pink" one.
Thanks.

Bonnet theme is anything Easter-there may be children present!
Wear it?.......not really but, you will have to model it at Sat Dinner for judging.

Also, just to confirm the meal thing, hosts are providing sloppy joes & buns Friday night and spiral sliced ham and sauces and bunny cakes for Saturday night. All other contributions are welcome. Don't forget to bring your own plates, silverware and beverages.

Gotta Cancel

So sorry folks,
Just got word that I am going to have to travel a bit for work. Going to have to cancel our reservations for this trip. Not what we expected to happen, but...
Going to miss seeing you all. Have a good time and may the Best Bonnet win!

I had to cancel today My female yorkie got sick this week and when I took her to the vet she has 3 large stones in her bladder that is blocking her urine they kept her as she has high fever and wouldnt eat or drink. She is better today but still very sick. she is scheduled for surgery monday if she responds to treatment. Her vet bills will take my fuel money and more so I will have to miss this get together. I was looking forward to seeing everyone. I will try to see all you down the road later this year Kay

OK guys and gals it is getting closer we need people to think of what side's they are bringing we are adding that Rondi is going to fire up the black pot for mini corn colbs on Fri, and Sat baked beans in the black pot. remember we may have close to 60 people for this one so every one needs to be involved in this fun un-rally and I was told no one can cook the bunny.

Man..this is still a pretty impressive list for a rally. It is nearly double what we had in San Marcos last June. How you guys have a great time.

Odds & Ends

Alright all you Easter rally campers!! We are getting close!! I can not wait!!

OK-to business
All T-shirt order that I have received so far have been corrected as to size and color on the sheet that I will send to John Irwin on FRIDAY-yes FRIDAY. I will send this late FRIDAY nite so any last minutes can get in.

Meals

As Sean has said, everyone needs to step up and bring a little sumthin-After all it seems that we have had a battalion sign up for this.

Post your additions and we will start finalizing the menu and post.

We thank you for your contributions to making this a rally they will talk about for a long time and... we look forward to seeing evryone there!!!

I'll probably do my Emeril's Favorite Cabbage in the Dutch oven. That has been a favorite at every rally where I have served it.
