Hardy Souls Winter Rally

We can not be the only people who enjoy winter camping so here is what I am proposing: a winter rally on December 1,2,3 at Devil's Lake State Park, Baraboo, WI. Devil's Lake is one of the most popular parks in the state and all but impossible to get into during the summer but in December you have your choice of good spots. We have camped there before in December and found it to be wonderful. There are electric spots available, pit toilets open, water and sewer close by. The park has many fine paths to explore and is right next to Baraboo which offers many things to do.
You can gain admission to the park with your national parks sticker, golden age passport or state sticker. Web page attached for the park.

I'll have to consider it, if only because a deadline might force me to get some work done on one trailer or another. plus, osita's getting used to those sunday morning strolls with max! fueled, of course, by joe's generosity with a coffee pot ...

Hey!
I could be game. I was planning on making a circle around the west and south but I could change that!

Only three responses! Come now hardy souls not all of us flee the winter glories for the sun drenched South. This would be a good time for you Southerners to see how the other half survives the short day months. Remember, you can always put on more clothing to get warm but can only take off so much to get cool.
Other sites around Baraboo include the Ho Chunk casino where you can contribute money to a Native American tribe. This tribe has a fascinating history of survival and you can experience parts of it first hand at this rally!

You may wish to send these folks an invite

National Geographic Magazine. June 2005.
The Coney Island Polar Bear Club appears in an article on global warming.

Go figure

I have swam in Lake Michigan on New Years Day and will show the video at the rally this December.

Oregon is just a few states west of Wisconsin and mostly down hill, save for a small blip around Colorado. Why not drive over and join us here?

MA is not far at all, as I said o the folks from Oregon it's just a few states away and you guys in the East have all those tiny states. You'll have smooth sailing all the way here and a tailwind on the way home, what more could you ask for?

One the same token, you still have enough time to get to Beverly Beach !

If I had some vacation time left. I'd be thinking about joining ya, trust me.
