I Can't Wait!
I can't wait any longer. Are we there yet? Yeah, yeah.... we'll be there soon.
This may turn out to be our first camping trip of the year. In some states that would be a crime. It's already warm outside, the flowers and trees are blooming and we're not going camping for over a month. That's just a shame!
Hopefully the rough is not too rough, the greens not to fast (or too slow), and the weather is pleasant. We're looking forward to this (could you tell?).

Dirt Track Racing?
The golfing will be during the day. In the evening you'll be lookinf for a change of pace. How about some dirt track racing on Saturday night? I hear Ricky Bobby is going to be there.
Lavonia Speedway is just a few miles away and sprint cars are on the schedule for Saturday night. Danielle said I may be going by myself.

Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! Having not mentioned this to Karen yet, I can pretty much say she would rather stick pins in her eyes than go to Lavonia Speedway. To me it sounds like a great idea! SHAKE & BAKE!!

Got Racing on My Mind!
Get the golf carts charged up and ready for racing! After a grueling day on the links I'm headed for the races. Check out Jim Croce to get you in the mood.

Must cancel for us
OK, I hate to do this, but we must cancel. This whole work thing is really getting in the way, but it does pay the bills. Sorry, guys.

Do Both... Not One or the Other
Dear Mr. Slowsky:
A few years ago I was listening to a program on the radio in which the speaker indicated he made a dramatic improvement in his life when he found ways to do both things rather than simply settle for one or the other.
For example, we are going camping next week and I am going to work too. Your situation may be different but maybe not all that different. Why not bring Mrs. Slowsky and the trailer to the campground earlier than planned and you can still travel (I presume your work involves travel in this case) and return to camping on the weekend.
The Mrs. and I are doing something similar for the Hacker's Rally. We're bringing the trailer (and us) to the campground on Wednesday evening and I will be driving to work on Thursday and Friday. Not optimum for sure... but hey it beats not going camping at all.
Give it some thought. Maybe you can do both - work and camp. It might just take a little different twist than originally planned.

It's a Rally of ONE!
Is that even possible? Can a rally consist of one Airstream? I suppose not... by definition I guess it takes two to rally.
The faint of heart have backed out for one reason or another. That leaves us. I guess we'll be rallying with SOBs, tents, pop-ups and the rest. I hope the weather is good. But a bad day camping beats a good day at work.
